The Hurricane tail wheel. Where used on the EoN Olympia 2b, vintage glider.
Yes, and there’s one under our T30 and T34 too.
Hurricane Mk1 tailwheel
Ah thank you. I use these as main wheels on vintage gliders, although there’s the odd Anson rim in there as well.
Theres a SH.330 being used as a class-room in Stoke on Trent,N.Staffs.

I always thought any Shorts 330 WAS a winged classroom from Stoke-on-Trent. Silly me.
I am begging here and in other forums for help!
Forums are a very passive and often not very reliable way of gathering information, or even the right contacts. As is e-mail. My experience: do your own research first, explore every source available (some have been suggested in this thread), then pick up the phone, ask around (politely) and you’d be surprised how many people can provide pointers, will refer to others for information, and get things done. Timeconsuming, yes, but very effective.

Have you even been to Holland or seen the Scheldt??
I think you will find about half of the contributors to this thread are Dutch and very familiar with the area.
Couldn’t help but laugh at what I am sure must have been an unintended pun 😉
Eric’s certainly got the ultimate weird-looking trailer – a T38 seems higher than it’s long!
Designed by two of the co-owners, based on a shortened open K8-trailer and a little graft from four of the owners (I am just one of them), fully roadworthy headturner.
I’ll have the Oly 2B there for sure – whether I can get the T38 there too is another matter!!!
FB
If you can finish it in time, we have a trailer for transport 😉
Happy to lend a hand to rig if you bring it!
(we might want to make a proper Slingsby line-up judging by the participants so far…)
Yes Dave, we plan to be at Challock and Lasham. Idea is to bring the T30, T34 and T38, but we have to get the T34 trailer past MOT first… See you there!
Still going strong on the last fuselage structure bits. Pics to follow soon(ish).
In the meantime, would anybody happen to have a spare aluminium interwing cover plate (top part only)? Ours is missing, and a used one would save a lot of time making a new one…
In the meantime, we were gifted a complete T31 stabilizer for the attachments that are apparently compatible with the T21. When it arrives, I’ll have a look if it’s still usable for a restoration. Anybody looking for one (or parts?).
Could be this one:

as the location and date seem roughly correct, and the 49… numbers could be a match for the engines?
