Guatemala. Roundel used from 1939 to 1947.
Spend a few days on the web for pics with this roundel but so far no go. Can someone help me with this?
I have the attached profiles and photo. The only aircraft I have seen with this marking is the Ryan STM. I believe that their P-26s also wore it briefly.
As am I. I Think the Su-24 has those roundels but it’s not really visible. So, Still looking for the old Ukraine roundel with the blue outside
Yes, if you zoom in, you can see that this Su-24 indeed wears the reversed roundels. Only picture I have ever seen of this marking!
Great Mozambique stuff, cy24driver2!
Myanmar
My friend, you have some incredible images!
Can anyone post here a nice pic of Bhutanese Mi-8 Hip?
It still remains elusive and I am no way to locate it now.
I have been trying to find a Bhutanese Mi-8 or Do-228 since I started collecting images, and so far I have nothing. It is proving to be one very difficult prize to obtain.
I’d guess they are poorly made dummies.
Not sure why anybody would bother to. They look to me like the An-2s they use for special forces infiltration operations.
Do we ever have seen a Bhutanese Mi-8T or Do-228 ??
It is rumored that the Bhutan Army Aviation has a few Mi-17s and Do-228s, but I have seen no photographic evidence.
Does anyone has any images of Niger’s Do-28?
I remember seeing one from wwe.webshots.com.
But I can’t place it now. Thanks in advance!!
See attached, with close-up of nacelle markings.
Indeed, 50 MD-315 Flamant “police coloniale” did serve in the RVNAF. Hovever I strongly suspect that this particular aircraft is F-AZGE / P, the MD-312 preserved by enthusiasts of Association Amicale Alençonnaise des Avions Anciens, which AFAIK did not serve in VN but is painted to represent one of the MD-315s that did.
Things are not always exactly what they are purported to be… đŸ˜€
As they say, close enough for government work…
Moroccan Fury’s (Sorry if Repost)
P.S. Can anybody shed some light on the markings?
Very interesting- thanks! I’ve seen the side-view before, but hadn’t noticed the insignia. Looks to me like just the star component of the standard roundel. Wonder if it is green, as it is on the roundel?
another from the VNAF. Is this realy used or just a MD31 painted in VNAF colors?

I did a little research, and found out that the Flamant did indeed serve with the South Vietnamese air force.
I personally believe it’s legit..
Yeah, you’re right. I looked closer at the larger image, and it does look legitimate. Sorry for the confusion.
oldie from South Vietnam

Btw I spent a whole evening clicking through that guy’s FB profile. He has created an impressive collection of exotic pictures.
His collection is astonishing! He has images I never even imagined I could find, anywhere.
Can anybody identify this Mi-8/17?
