Hi gkozak. Thanks for the Tanganyika Aero Commander picture.
But Tanganyika and Zanzibar merging to become Zambia ?? Isn’t it more precisely Tanzania that you want to write ??
You have working too hard recently. 😉
OK, it’s a joke. Knowing your previous post on the subject, I know it’s a typing error.
    Friendly,

…huh? Where- what’s going on? Where am I? Oh, sorry- just woke up. :highly_amused: Thanks for noting my glaringly obvious error. Yes, indeed, I did mean Tanzania!

Speaking of Tanzania, here’s a rare one. A Tanganyika government Aero Commander, before that country was merged with Zanzibar to become present-day Tanzania.

nice photo’s of the MFI-15 aircraft, thanks.

Do you have any photo’s of the Siai Marchetti SF.260MZ aircraft, pre Saab Supporter ?
Or of the Aermacchi SF.260TW aircraft, post Saab Supporter ?
Inside Zambia, please, as I have seen some SF.260TW photo’s while on their testflights at airfield Venegono, Italy.

    greetings,
    Hendrik

    And even more Zambian aircraft.

Other views of FAM-547 Cessna 337 (first picture without the “badge”) :

Does anybody know what the badge is? It’s not the national coat of arms.

That is the new national insignia.

Very interesting! Anybody know of any good images of it? Speaking of Mozambique, see attached Alouette III with flag insignia.

They also have/had MiG-21UM and L-39 for overhaul at Aerostar.

What in the heck is that badge on the tail? I’ve never seen that one on any aircraft from Mozambique!

    Other Gabonese T-6 (old) :

    http://i41.tinypic.com/2wnv9d3.jpghttp://i39.tinypic.com/1zl7thl.jpghttp://i43.tinypic.com/4t7e4h.jpg

Note the apparently different insignia on the two T-6s. The one with the yellow is correct, but the one with the orange is due to chromatic effects with the film that distorted the yellow to make it look orange. Even Heller mistakenly took this as an alternative Gabonese insignia in their 1/72 T-6 kit.

…………….BUT…. is it of an original one ?……..or of a scale model ? (look a.o. to the pilot(!), the roundel on the left wing, the shadows…)

    What do you think ?

    friendly, Etienne

This is definitely a model, albeit a very good one!

You don’t often see Lesotho Bo-105s sporting national insignia, but see attached.
