Was this their last operational mil aircraft ??
till now I couldn’t find more recent pics… do I have to consider -also- the SLAF as an HISTORIC one ???

And here’s the aircraft whose tail section is sticking up in the background- a Let L-410!

I think I’ve found the answer ;
SIERRA LEONE ??
Yes, they certainly are from Sierra Leone. Too bad they didn’t mark them with roundels!

Other pictures of former Libyan roundels here (Alouette, C-130, Mirage)

Two versions of the current Libyan roundel.
Hi Guys!
Interesting nicaraguan plane! The sole A-20!!!! Thanks for Aldo Flores Torres – Aztec Decals – for the picture.
And a B/A-26.
Enjoy them!

Alex, note that the fuselage insignia on the A-20 looks just like that of Etienne’s AT-6. I just received confirmation from an impeccable source that the color reversal for the middle and inner portions is indeed due to the effects of monochromatic black/white film. The true colors are, from the center, blue-yellow-red. And while this fuselage insignia was in use, the standard triangle roundels were used on the wings.
with thanks, Gerard and Archangelski, for your Nicaraguan replies,

Etienne, note the roundel on the fuselage of the Nicaraguan T-6. They did use a blue-yellow-red roundel on the fuselage (see the P-51 profile), but the colors on the T-6 are reversed. Could this be an unusual variant, or just an effect of the black/white photo? Not sure, but looks like triangle roundels on the underside of the wing. I will check with some contacts about this one. It looks very odd to me. Thanks for posting it!

I’ve searched, & found some ‘good’ video’s of former Albanian jets, but all ones in b/w 😡
this is the ONLY “in flight” COLOR pic I could find of an Albanese jet !! but of a really poor quality :
the marking on the tail is doubtful !!
in fact I’d like to see (in colors !) (& IN FLIGHT) their former roundel, (on a JET )……………………………….]
Can you help ??

Google is a good solution but threads friends too : (KERVYN, if you want more, simply ask) but, as GERARD say, rarity in flight !

Nice, I am still looking for Surinam PC-7’s with Surinam Air Force roundels and serials. If they were ever painted on.
I have seen them only with Swiss ferry registrations.greetings,
Hendrik
Funny you should mention that. If you examine the image, you can see a white disk on the fuselage; I presume that is where the Suriname roundel was to be placed. Notice also the black rectangular marking on the fin. I surmise that this is where the Suriname registration number would be placed. Chris Thornberg’s World Air Forces site lists three PC-7s operated by Suriname, numbers SAF-111, SAF-112, and SAF-113. It also notes that SAF-111’s Swiss ferry registration was HB-HMN, and SAF-112’s was HB-HMQ. So it looks like the aircraft in your photo was to be SAF-111, Hendrik. Remove the Swiss ferry registrations and the Swiss insignia, add the Suriname roundels and registration numbers, and I think you’ll have it. Only thing is- what about the wing markings? I think the best way to determine that would be to look for other aircraft similarly marked with the Suriname roundel, and extrapolate to the PC-7. Will do some research and get back with everybody. Very, very interesting.
Well, there are relatively few images of aircraft from Suriname. However, I have ascertained that the registration numbers on their aircraft are replicated on the top left and bottom right wings, apparently without roundels. I assume there are roundels on the top right and lower left wings, too, but this is only conjecture.

(not really an ‘air force’, but certainly a serious unit !)

Interesting image from Costa Rica. I have never seen their national insignia presented like that on the wings.
Not sure if anybody knows why, but I haven’t seen any profiles posted on the Wings Palette site since April 22. Does anybody have any updates about that site?
