That is not an “national insignia”
It is a South African Air Force 75 year anniversary crest/badge/logo and was also used on the SAAF C-130 and SAAF museum Mirage IIICZ and various other aircraft during 1995

Yes, I did know it wasn’t a national insignia, but some sort of squadron badge or celebratory marking. I did confirm your info exactly with my South African source. Thanks everybody for the input.
South Africa
You know, I think you’re right. The bird in the badge looks to be exactly the same one on their new roundel. I just found a contact on the http://www.saairforce.co.za site, and have forwarded the image to him to confirm.
Jean-Bédel Bokassa ?
Naah, it doesn’t have a logo reading “Former Deranged, Deposed, Psychotic Dictator” on its side. I’m thinking maybe Greece, judging from the badge on the fuselage.
Anybody have any idea where this Alouette III is from? Image from http://www.aircraftslides.com.

South African Coast Guard Rockwell Turbo Commander, good shot of a Namibian Harbin Y-12, Ugandan Mi-24P with new roundel, Bahamas Super King Air with new roundel, Congo Brazzaville Il-76 with flag on fin. From http://www.airliners.net.
Back in 1999 the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard Air Wing allowed me access to their principal base at Piarco International Airport (very courteous people and a pleasant experience). Here are my photos from that visit. I am at best a lousy photographer so my apologies in advance ! I should point out that this represents the entire flight strength of the Air Wing.
In 2005 it was renamed the Air Guard. 2 AW-139 helos have been delivered but at present only 2 C-26A and 1 Cessna 310 survive from the fixed wing fleet.
Absolutely magnificent pictures- thanks so much! These made my day!!!

Interesting- never knew they used this one!
Interesting! According to Wikipedia Tonga has two aircraft, the Beech and a
American Champion Citabria. Can anyone confirm this information please.
I have also read several reports of a Tongan Citabria, but unfortunately have no photographic evidence.
Hi Gkozak!
Fantastic picture, thanks!:) I ask more pictures of this plane!:)

Here are a couple more, plus an image of the roundel. There aren’t many models of the Super 18 (the old Aurora is the only one I know of, and it’s rare and expensive), but conversion of a standard Beech 18 doesn’t look too hard. That’s what I plan to do, and there are several kits of the standard Beech 18 one on the market.
