Thanks
It’s a helicopter of Imperial Iranian Army deployed to Oman in the 70’s to fight Dhofar rebels.
Thanks for the clarification. Here’s a Cameroonian AB.206.
Iranian UH-1H
A UH-1H with Iranian and Omani roundels. Is this one an ex-Omani for Iran, or an ex-Iranian for Oman?
Georgian Yak-40
Cy24driver, your picture of the Georgian Yak-40 Codling is great- thanks. The Georgian cross on the fin is an unusual touch.
Unusual UH-1Bs
Anybody have any pics of unusual UH-1Bs? I already have some from Austria, Air America, Indonesia, South Vietnam, South Korea, Australia, Japan, and Norway. Additional pics of South Vietnamese examples would be welcome. The UH-1B, by the way, has the flange behind the main rotor gear housing, not the grill of the UH-1C. See below images. Thanks in advance for anything you can find!

These are fantastic. Thanks!
Central African Republic C-130
Ugandan Hip
Don’t know but hte Barrett has obviously been planted by the photographer. I doubt Chadian rebels have that kind of weapon. They seem to stick to the guerilla norm of russian and/or chinese kit.
On a completely different subject. Does anybody know where this Hip’s from?
It’s from Uganda, an Mi-8MTV-2. See the profile with accompanying information on the ACIG website at http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_190.shtml.
I Found These
Could anyone from our community please help me with some photos of upper wing surfaces of this colorful plane?
Internet search was in vain…
TIA
These are the only two I came up with.
Strange
It’s Republic of China (Taiwan) – there have been reports of them flying aid to Haiti in Hercs with the national markings painted out – the nose serial size and location certainly match.
see attached for a view of 1318 with her markings intact… http://www.taiwanairpower.org/af/c130/1318.jpg
Kind of strange that they paint out the national markings. Only reason I can think of is political sensitivity regarding their relationship with the PRC. They want to “fly under the radar”, so to speak.
Unknown C-130
Any ideas regarding where this C-130 is from?
Not Sure About That
The fin marking is an old roundel of Congo-Brazzaville
Flex, I’m not certain that it’s a Congo-Brazzaville roundel- see the attached image. They don’t appear to match up. Also, neither the camo nor the background landscape look right. And the bort number looks more like the ones used by the PLAAF, not Congo-Brazzaville, whose aircraft wear three-digit numbers.
ChiCom MiG-17?
So, folks, anybody know if this is a ChiCom MiG-17? The bort number causes me to suspect so, but the fin marking is rather odd. If not, where might it be from? Thanks!
