Nigerian Chinook
Wow,I had no idea the have chinooks!Heres some stuff i have.More mig 21’s would be great.Any pics out there??????? ๐
Cheers,Andy
Actually, the Chinook was a one-off example for evaluation. Nigeria never had any of them in active service, but it certainly looks great in that camouflage scheme, doesn’t it?
More Nigerian Aircraft
G-222, Agusta A.104, AS.332B, Bulldog, Chinook, Hughes 269, MiG-21s.
Because…
Why does it need the extra twin tail engines??
…it’s fake as all crap.
So boys and girls – Which do you think is the most bizare plane ever? Here are some examples for inspiration:
Colani Cygnus. High capacity airliner designed for Aeroflot in 80s. It was powered by two screw-like blowers.
Another Colani Mach 5 high capacity airliner from 1983. Air intakes were placed in wings leading edges.
Berijev Be-2500. Huge WIG project from Russia.
Snecma Colรฉoptรฉre. Very unconventional French ring wing tailsitter fighter.
Some of civil ring-wing concepts:
Wingless (!) plane from american designer Bill Horton.
French designers probably like bizare concepts. This is turbojet/ramjet powered Leduc 022.
Lets kill them all. Flying 1WW battleship Loire 301. Of course from France.

Hi there,
Anyone interested in aircraft pictures of the military airplanes? I’m actually stuck in Kabul (Kaia) for four months and our office is just 50 meters off the appron. So if anyone is interested in pictures of military airplanes, it will be a pleasure to post pics on this forum. FYI, today a British Canberra (XH131) landed here.

An RAF Canberra? Wow! What was one of them doing there? I thought the Brits had gotten rid of even their old squadron hack and test/development Canberras a long time ago.
Cut the political crap
VPAF An-2 shot down over Laos, and MiG-17 receiving blows. VPAF pilots fought hard in the defence of their country against blood-thirsty barbarians with their B-52s.
Oh, come on! Cut the political crap, and stick to aircraft! I’m an American, and I think the Vietnam war was a huge mistake, but don’t tell me that the North Vietnamese were saints, either! How many people did THEY torture and kill unnessicarily when they took over?
Vicory Is Sweet… But Not For Everybody
Yeah, I’m sure the South Vietnamese were just thrilled when their NVA and Viet Cong “liberators” came rollin’ into town.
African MiGs- The Air Combat Information Group

Try this incredible site. There are four wonderful articles on African MiGs, including some fantastic color profiles.
Zambian JL-8
Namibian JL-8 trainer.
If I’m not mistaken, that’s a Zambian JL-8, not Namibian.
Bolivian Sabre, Not Angolan
hmm is there any confirmation of the look of this Angolan Sabre?
That’s a Bolivian Sabre.
Romanian MiG-21F, before that buffoon Ceaucescu and his moronic wife were pumped full of lead and dumped into a hole.
It’s An Interesting Book
Guys read Nick’s book. He doesn’t suggest that the anti-gravity technology is ‘alien’. His research suggests the technology was developed closer to home
I agree. The book is quite fascinating, and I don’t think that Mr. Cook comes off as a kook at all. In fact, he raises some very interesting questions, and doesn’t purport to have all the answers, not even close. I’ve often wondered what sorts of things are going on at places like Area 51/Groom Lake, and this book makes me wonder even more. But there are plenty of other web sites for that sort of speculation…
Only Kidding
gkozak.
Do you think my reply was unfriendly?
Not at all, only kidding. ๐
Thanks for the friendly reply…
Why do you think that?
They don’t look very similar at all… the wing planform and even the number of vertical tails, the shape of the nose are all rather different.
You obviously haven’t compared both aircraft closely enough. Fact is, the design of the E-266, which was the Mikoyan design bureau’s designation for the MiG-25, was definitely influenced by the A-5 Vigilante. Both types have large, thin-section shoulder wings, with a moderate degree of sweep. They both have vertical ramp inlets, and their fuselage and propulsion layouts are identical. Their main landing gear units are quite similar, as well. Admittedly, the A-5 does have a single vertical fin, while the MiG-25 has two, but the fins of the MiG-25 are very similar to those of the original mock-up of the Vigilante. ๐
So you obviously know very little about the RB bomber variants ( 9 ton bomb load consisting of 6 1,500kg bombs carried and released at mach 2.4) or the fact that as an interceptor it was quite capable despite the fact that the aircraft it was designed to intercept failed, or even the fact that despite being relatively expensive to operate it was a very capable recon aircraft too?
I guess know just about as much as you do about the relationship between the A-5 and the MiG-25. ๐
If that is what you call a failure then the F-15 must be considered one too.
I guess one would have to consider such factors as numbers used, numbers exported, numbers still in service, maintainability, versatility, and such. I imagine the F-15 would beat the MiG-25 in most, if not all, of those categories.
They are the fastest flying pure turbojet engines in the world for one.
How many have been produced and sold? Are they reliable? Easily maintained? Efficient on fuel usage?

Thanks for the pics! One question- are you sure that’s Barbados? It looks like Bolivia to me.
