So the flight to BWI is booked and confirmed. I am really looking forward being on board of the B767 which has been recently refitted with a new cabin interior.
You don’t say what date you are going, but you seem sure that you will be on a 767. Most days BWI is on 777 aircraft, but either way it will have the most up to date version of the 3 class Club/Traveller Plus/Traveller cabin. This includes PTV’s in Traveller.
If you go to ba.com here http://www.britishairways.com/travel/entertainhighlights/public/en_gb?prim=aboutjourn&sec=onboard fill in the route details and it will show you what to expect.
Enjoy your flight.
1L.
The outbound flight will be 4th Sep., inbound 15th Sep. I haven’t booked yet. There might well be a slight change in the dates.
Great this is good news 🙂 So I am really looking forward to the flight!
That is not the problem as I have a vertical speed of 1500 to 2000 ft/min.
Hello @ all
LHR – JFK – Could be a 763 or 774 but most likely 772, same for Washington – Heathrow.
What exactly is a 774?
Thank you guys for the answers.
Tax isnt complicated at all. You earn money and you give it to the government 😎 But details are still complicated. I think I will need an agent :p
None the less thank you for the answers.

However HLX+Thomsonfly(TUI), and Germanwings have rich parents so should be okay
I agree, however GO was taken over by easyJet and its (GO) parent was a rich airline indeed 🙂 Although I don’t think to see Germanwings, HLX & Thomsonfly disappear in the near future. What do you think of flyglobespan.com? Do it have really a change to fight against Ryanair and easyJet?
Haven’t known that Etihad flies from Manchester!
Great discussion here. But what I am missing is talk about the low cost carriers. How many of them will survive? I guess there will be consolidation as well. What do you think? In my view easyJet and Ryanair will survive and they will be the big low cost airlines in Europe. Is there a market for a 3rd? Air Berlin? Hapag-Lloyd Express? Jet2?
Hello @all
I prefer the old noisy 737-200. Here an example in my favourite livery :p
Hello @all
I live 5min away from ZRH. ZRH is a great place to spot although it has little traffic. Best time to spot airplanes is from 1000 to 1400. At this time all the heavy planes depart.
There are 4 good spots around the airport. One is on the roof of the old terminal B, the other on the roof of terminal E. And there is a spot just behind the runway 14, the other next to the runway 16.
But as I said, ZRH has little traffic and therefore I would prefer spotting at places like MAN and/or FRA.
