Hi
Going slightly off subject but what about HS 2
it appears on the news that at least one cemetery is to be excavated and moved as part of the overall building of the project
surely this sets a precedent for future planning applications
in the end a burial site is a burial site
wether planned or accidental it contains the same thing human remains
in my opinion if it forces the government to give the lanc crew a decent burial it is a good thing
cheers
jerry
PS
I wonder if the HS 2 route will go thro any crash sites ?
Hi
my strangest find at the pro was many years ago in a file on a totally different subject.
a piece of paper was being re- used by writing on its plain un-typed side.( paper shortage ? )
the otherside was an aircraft report.
what always annoyed me during research was those files that had the contents missing
‘lacking ‘ as the pro called it,
i wish they had the budget to copy the stuff in those days before it ‘ disappeared’
info now probably lost forever
cheers
jerry
Break it and you don’t get your Lanc back!:D
Hi
Sounds like a good deal

Hi
A day to remember all those people killed
whatever nationality
civilian or military
ordinary people doing what they had to do for their country
jerry
Hi
And maybe the ‘small’ problem of the history of the tails falling off.
cheers
Jerry
Hi All,
Finally found some spare time for the hobby ! life and work interferes to much
a letter from westlands at the NA regarding the early welkin proposal
quote
from the purely production view the most interesting thing about the …… is that we shall probably be able to use the whirlwind outer wings, slots, ailerons, rear fuselage and tail unit, with a number of the detail parts particularly the main wing spar boom
naturally the spec changed as the welkin proposal was more defined and ended up with a totally different machine than the one talked about above
cheers
jerry
As a P.S.
I will try to scan those photos this weekend and send them………This will make sense to those who know………
Thanks
jerry

Hi
but seriously….
hope everyone enjoys her and posts loads of pics & vids for we that can not see them.
I walked thro her at abbotsford air show a few years ago
most memorable and amazing how crews operated in such a small space.
cheers
Jerry
Wizard – you have a three year loan and a Napier Sabre ! Make a start and we will have it back just when your ready for ground runs!
Awesome
option A
we will do a full reno, and send back a nice new tiffie with the data plates and keep all the old bits for a replica
option B
get her flying in a year with duck tape and a second seat for passengers to pay for the reno
lets just hope nothing happens to it like it did to the SAAF shack
enjoy the sight,
maybe the BBMF can come to canada in 2015
if it could make it
cheers
jerry
