Does anyone happen to know when the oblong desynn fuel gauges were introduced? Are we later than the Mk XI?
Thanks
Brills!!! That will Ding Dang Doo for me and gives me enough info to get stuck in. Thanks all, much appreciated.
Thanks Alan, thatโs a great help ๐ Although apart from the permanent fixtures it seems to show yet another combination of instruments, do you know which Mark it is? Keeping to a Bomber Command theme and not having the spends for a Gunsight and oxy regulator a PRU spitfire seems to be the most obvious choice.
I’ll be basing this on a Mk 5 panel CAD file that i have so if anyone would like a panel let me know?
Thanks again.
You will think I’m taking the ****, but I have a AP drawing titled ‘How to wrap your pigeon’. The idea being that you wrapped it up in a piece of paper like a bag of chips before throwing it out into the aircraft slipstream. By the time the pigeon had wriggled free it had slowed down sufficiently not to have been killed by the high speed. Interesting stuff:)
Any spare Merlin engine propeller shafts going spare for static use? Would be a very happy chap if i can find one.
Thanks.
Hence the reason for suggesting a smaller more viable aircraft to operate. If they can keep raising these amounts of money then they would be very well placed to let their passion continue.
While the pot of money, expertise and experience is still together, maybe they should look to down size and operate a viable smaller aircraft………. Just like a Mosquito perhaps.
Any FN5/ FN50 components gathering dust out there? Would be very grateful for any leads on FN5 turret parts no matter how small, mangled and rusty they are please to assist a project. Not many opportunities left to restore turrets nowadays so would really appreciate any help to try and piece one more back together.
Could try these….
Could try these….
I’ve not won the lottery today but maybe a little luck might come my way. Can anyone help locate the final piece i need for a Lancaster Navigators section please?
A DF LOOP AERIAL
Also interested in any other Lancaster items that are up for sale.
Thanks,
Wow, looking forward to volume 5 on the chrimbo list, thanks
Any ideas what kind of sight this is fitted to a Lancaster? Not one i’m familiar with.
out of interest, how much roughly does a private piece of art work cost? The idea i have is a Lancaster, but with the detail in the airfield over which it is flying as per an exact layout of a known Bomber Command airfield. Infact probably just an aerial view Landscape.
Would be nice if the Lincs Lancaster association or even flypast could run a poll on suggested paint schemes to see what the masses would like to see.
