Your right it usually is a closely guarded secret but if i tell enough people that the new colours will be 106 Squadron then i may just get my wish…..
😉
106 squadron ‘King of the air’.
Speaking of Bouncing bombs, does anyone know how they were powered? I recently noticed at the Yorkshire air museum display that the bomb was spun using the motor from the removed Mid upper gun but this was hydraulically operated so i’m not entirely sure thats a correct statement.
Would be nice to know……..
I’m certainly indebted to them for their support towards my project to restore the Metheringham tower. Would be nice to see other Counties follow their success.
Thats great news, Phil, Dave and the team do a great job 🙂
I once restored a 1943 German BMW R75 motorcycle combination a few years ago and to my horror discovered that the air filter contained human hair which kind of put me off the project a tad.
Any ideas what this seat is from, looks interesting but not one i have seen before….. Doesn’t look anything Halifax related either.
Sheffield Police HQ has got to be the best one, residing on Letsby Avenue.
I should imagine it will command a good price if it is available for sale, I’d certainly be keen to put a bid in although there are quite a few similar looking indicators that serve other functions.
Although against the forum rules, it’s obvious that a lot of buying and selling goes on, which deservedly goes towards some very worthwhile private projects before the EBay vultures start pecking.
Perhaps it’s time for a notice board thread on which to list available parts that are avalible and not an active sales pitch. This will then allow the interested parties to make contact outside of the forum and lead to more projects moving forward.
And I always thought the robbers sat behind the tills!!!

I’m sure those German pilots came straight off the set of Star wars….. Show them no mercy!!!!
This one needs a little bit more than glass and a door……
I’m the owner of this little DIY project:eek:, all it takes is a little determination and passion to succeed. 75% of Lincolnshires original wartime towers have been demolished and I’m not prepared to let this one join the list no matter how rough it looks.
