What would S&P rating of Scotland be now and in 10 years?

On a purely hypothetical note – What would S&P rating of Scotland be now and in 10 years?

Oh for a Crystal Ball. The SNP must have a special one.

When the previous referendum on Scottish parliamentary devolution was a damp squib the Scots blamed it on Lady Thatcher – the then Hon P.M.

Now they have made the Hon. David Cameron current Conservative P.M. their door mat.

The SNP must boil inside when they see the full name of the Conservative Party in Scotland – The Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.

Is the SNP going to be honest and re do their slogans to being “Independence from Conservatism” ?

IMO all that’s going to happen is a huge drain to the tune of Billions (from the UK HM Treasury coffers) to fund this megalomaniac’s historical dream (more like a nightmare) and this will take many years.

Then when Scotland has achieved complete economic and parliamentary independence from the UK will it be demanding to be first in the queue as the newest developing nation for aid from the English, Welsh and Northern Irish?

A future BBC Aid for Scotland Appeal would sound quite insulting to a nation that has brains but needs to harness them for the good of the United Kingdom.

Give the nationalist nonsense a rest my Scottish friends and mature to accepting that the economic, technical and scientific brains that Scotland has could only help the UK including Scotland get out of the economic doldrums it finds itself in.

Save waving the Saltire for sporting events.

Anyone who votes in Scotland for dividing this island deserves my sterotype

And by saying that you are as guilty of taking a stereotypical view of the Scots as a whole, as some of them are guilty of taking Gibsons portrayal of Wallace as being fact.

Anyone who votes in Scotland for dividing this island deserves my sterotype with no personal offence to you Loose-Head.

They’ve got to be permanently ‘bevied’ (sloshed/sozzled) or on prescribed or stolen drugs/medication to believe in anything bar unity of an island being it’s greatest strength.

Sounds like a wall, a sea defence and a glass bubble over Scotland or England – nuts

Sounds like a wall, a sea defence and a glass bubble over Scotland or England is being mooted – NUTS:rolleyes:

Cadbury’s would be happy to supply the chockie bars and throw in some fruit too.

Interestingly would it be a defence of economically more lucrative England that would be more important than a defence of Scotland beautiful as it may be in parts?

I hope I never live to see this proud island divided with internal cross border controls.

Mods will guide and very likely advise but this subject was thrashed out months ago

This is a question for the webmaster of this website.
The drop down menus on this website are, at best annoying, at worst just plain bad (in terms of user interaction).
When you mouse over they pop open. Trouble is on the first mouse over by the time you select the menu option they have closed and you have inadvertently click the banner advert beneath.
    Sometimes this annoyance persists.
Just my opinion but I don’t think they add anything to the website.

Mods will guide and very likely advise but this subject was thrashed out months ago.

Try searching the forum as the responses gave some technical advice and arguments for and against.

Yes, very odd. I have noticed that too. I guess if you are English you just can’t do anything right in the eyes of the more Mel Gibson orientated Scots?

    Moggy

When they are ‘bevvied’ (sloshed, sozzled) akin to a routine Rab C Nesbit state all that comes to their minds is BRAVEHEART (Mel eat your heart out).

With all this expensive (national coffers ie taxpayer, you and me paying) regional warring on the go maybe they’ll all roll over a Scottish cliff as the egos of some politicians clearly indicates where they lack space for any brains:rolleyes:
