Hi Threepool – interesting but convoluted article

Do you think the sentences are too harsh?

    Hi Threespool
The article/report you quoted talks some convoluted rubbish about –
“had they not committed the crime during the riots then the sentences would have been more lenient”,
“Liberals to the criminals fore again”

    IMO –
Liberals should be banned from standing for office – they have had their time and are not fit for purpose – nice people living in an ideal world – possibly nice (if one is also nice) to know but would be useless e.g. as neighbours as any local burglaries would be supported by pleas to the judges for admonishing culprits

Sentences should be made stricter and be non paroleable and as Jim says on an island (I draw the line here as Scotland has more than it’s fair share of reprobates) – and that the ‘islands’ should be disused oil rigs in deep ocean.

Sentences are deterrents not ‘a pat on the back and a cuddle’ with a “Please don’t do that again”.

Schools re-introducing punishments including it being handed out at specially convened assemblies (if morning assembly is non event and just a dinosaur like relic) of the entire school which includes punishment for non attendance without doctor’s cover letter.

Facebook, Twitter, email, chain letters or picture postcarsd:) being used to encourage or bring about rioting is something that from the electronic side of things can be improved on by pattern matching of currently used English hieroglyphics (already speaking with some researchers/developers at Edinburgh Uni about the use of their phonetic software being used in reverse – In reality this is all ‘Ma Bell’ of old during Edgar J Hoover’s time did by monitoring landlines using pattern matching mainframe computers – it rejected the ‘dross’ such as mistresses, lovers, and similar assignations and graded the serious ones into ‘Mafia wars’, anarchy, espionage and riots.
It is now a cinch as storage space, memory and processing power for buck is so cheap.

I draw the line on capital punishment though apart from being re-introduced for proven terrorism (plotting and direct involvement).

Bottom line IMO the sentences must get harsher and parents of all minors caught rioting/looting be sentenced as well with fines payable until child is off their hands and an adult and can receive their own sentences for re-offending

Jim, there’s some rubbish in press about £500 and 5-6 weeks national service…

Banupa. Once we get all the offenders in said place, giive them a month with Ray Mears, on how to survive, then let them get on with it.
More like National Service but without all the home comforts.

Jim, there’s some rubbish in press about £500 and 5-6 weeks national service for teenagers – yesterday’s papers.

Rubbish and twaddle 5-6 weeks with e.g. the Marines – it will be like a paid adventure holiday for these reprobates.

No proper National Service on leaving school or being kicked out and minimum term being served. They will come out better for employment as what their parents and school failed to teach them due to PC rules the forces would/maybe would have been taught them.

Jim, Scotland is already overrun with reprobates – idealising William Wallace

Remember the film, “The dirty dozen”?. they had to build their own billets, shave in cold water, etc.
Why not do the same with all those convicted reprobates, and dump them all on an uninhabited Island way off the coast of Scotland Give them the materials, and let them fend for themselves until they tow the line, and rejoin society again, hopefully a changed person. Bet they would only get to go there once.;)

Jim, Scotland is already overrun with reprobates (every 2nd or 3rd a.rsehole on the streets) – idealising William Wallace encouraged to hate England by his re-incarnation the 1st Minister.

Island or no island not on Scotland’s budget but a UK budget on disused off shore oil rigs where they can build their shelters, supplied with food and equipment only by ship (no expensive helis) and can cope with the harshest elements.
Exceptions back on mainland due to immediate family bereavement or serious hospitaliseable illness – escorted as a prisoner would do there and back.

Sure they can riot again on the oil rig and jump in the water and drown or freeze to death.

Mother of 13 year old denies having to be responsible for offspring

Mother of 13 year old denies having to be responsible for offspring.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-14537321

So you get the child benefit, tax credits and have a great time (also both working) but 24 hours a day you cannot be responsible for a 13 year old (apart from school hours).

Who I wonder was caring for this 13 year old while the supposed parents were busy working and/or milking the system?

Time all the mother’s benefits were stopped and the ‘sponger’ goes out to work where there is a creche for out of school hours.

“She said her son had the hammer because he was a “scared child” concerned for his own safety.”
