N7033 (Harvard I) was the subject of a double-truck 5-view with (tinted top-side and Post-side views) in Scale Aircraft Modelling Vol. 6 No.2 (November 1983)

This was part of a conversion article by Jim Howard – the Illustrations were by Willy Peeters. The information quoted on the drawings states that N7033 was on strength with 2 SFTS.

The last I heard was that she was crushed to death in the ice on the lake and then rolled into a ball of scrap and sank..

That would certainly make sense. Although I’ve seen her mentioned variously as ‘preserved’ and ‘derelict’ in Manitoba. Anyone want to go for a look in the lake? (61:14 North – 95:29 West)

The white tail was used as an identification marking on USAAF and RAAF aircraft in the south Pacific (New Guinea) – I don’t have the specifics (date of adoption, etc.).

Mod’s please pardon this rant – but having been involved with the airshow industry in North America since the early 90s, I feel I’m owed this….

These same CO2 apers are the same ‘lost souls’ (and similar) who denounced the ‘glorification of war and killing machines’ over 10 years ago (as well as ‘globalization’).

Now its CO2… well, from my educated, informed point of view… these ‘apers’ could do a heck of a lot more to cut CO2 emissions in the world if they would simply shut their yaps!

‘Tis all fine and dandy to spout about rights and freedoms, but ‘these’ have to remember that we ALL have those rights, and no one person has the right to denounce another’s nor interfere with anyone else’s right to attend and enjoy.

Wish I had some pics – none of the DHC histories I have even mentions Austria – must have been second hand aircraft. Only reference I found was to three aircraft operated… c/n 1221 (3B-GF), c/n 1412 (3B-GB), c/n 1416 (3B-GC)…
