an interesting proposition, but highly unlike since Boeing’s tie-in with Alenia and the C-27…

“… which brings to an end an earlier possibility that it could offer a rival solution, potentially based on Antonov’s An-72.”

    Hi:

I’m very curious for see the “Blue Sabre Team” of Korea, but can’t open the site.

The site have some problem, because after try open many times, can’t.

Can you send me for my E-mail, please?

    Best regards
    ZĂŠ Duarte

Ahh the joys of the internet… fortunately I did download the pics…

There appears to have been several paint schemes worn by the Sabre Team – very much the same thing occurred with the F-5s and RF-5s of the Black Eagles afterwards (I’ve now got 10 different F-5/RF-5 profiles fr the ROK ‘Black Eagles’)

    mother of… 😮 !

My deepest sympathies to all affected by this horrendous audio assault and misuse of air time. Yet more proof that all the UK’s musical talent was used up by the Fab Four… (or maybe it was A Flock of Seagulls) 😉

I hope British Airways hasn’t paid them for the new theme song. You can see someone in a pathetic PR dept. somewhere is hoping for a big cheque from BA. Thats even worse than when Celine Dion was spokes-singer for Air Canada.

I haven’t seen ‘flight attendants’ that camp since my Melbourne/Alice Qantas flight…

    Tom,

Here’s one (N620NA) thats at least in/near your time zome. I shot this one in 1996 (sorry – a bit soft) at Santa Teresa, New Mexico… (opposite end of the apron from the War Eagles Museum). As far as I know she’s still there – recent pics I’ve seen of her she’s looking considerably more weathered.

Some data and ownership info here…

    ELP, thanks for the link!!

An extremely refreshing and informative documentary. I think this should be mandatory viewing for just about everyone. The science (and history and politics) is right there for everyone to see – complete with easy to understand graphics!

I’ve never been convinced by the great Carbon-haters and what this documentary lays out is proof in itself that the ‘movement’ is wrong.

The ‘environmental’ movement has been hi-jacked and we’re all being taken for a long difficult ride on this one my friends. Copy the link and send it to everyone you know.

Definitely Air Zaire (the winged cat’s front legs point forward as opposed to Air India’s bent back – and Air India never operated the F27)

    Try these out.. Air Zaire

    Fokker 27-600

    9Q-CLM 09/01/75 Boende, Zaire
    9Q-CLO 03/03/74 Gago Cautino, Angola
    9Q-CLP 08/02/80 Kinshasa/Ndjili, Zaire
    9Q-CLR 06/01/78 Kisangani, Zaire

I’m leaning toward the 1974 crash, as this aircraft does not carry the ‘cat’ in a circle with green rudder which seems to be Air Zaire’s livery from around 1975 onward… and I just saw Mpacha’s post regarding location.

I’m going to say that the Algerian MiG-29 shot is real… here’s a couple screen shots from http://membres.lycos.fr/algaf/oldplane.htm that shows the emblem a little better.

The factory shot is taken on snow – the largest ‘fill-card’ know to photographers. Close inspection will show that there are shadows on the underside of the aircraft – just not as strong as they would be if the photo was taken over a dark surface. The white ‘paint’ on the landing light?… the easiest masking tool in the world to use – a plastic bag.

Speaking of ‘climate change’ did anyone see the program on the BBC (Channel 4) this week… ‘The Great Climate Change Swindle’ (or something like that) wondering if and when its being aired on this side of the ‘pond’. (I only get BBC World, not BBC America or BBC Canada which may very well have shown it.)

I think we’re all getting taken for a ride on this one. All this poo-poo about CO2 emissions … yadda yadda yadda… If there were no CO2 emissions, we wouldn’t be here! If governments want to really do something about it all, then start holding onto the money they spend in so-called ‘developing economies’ (China) until they can clean up their own acts. Give us some tax incentives to but hybrid vehicles and mandate that the manufacturers have to produce more of them.

Oh well… politicians will do what gets them votes and the rest of us will pay the bill for whatever else they want us to do.
