i know the politically correct will be all over this, but…
she’s sexy, completely, totally, sexy! (i think I’m in love) my pulse raced as I scrolled through those pics…

I’ll take two and a pint of bitter… any brown sauce?
I found these first 2 black and whites from the Canada Aviation Museum collection (from their Battle 1T) panel minus instruments – 1st (upsidedown) looking down and 2nd looking directly at it … sorry – looking a bit worse for wear
Then there’s an intrument panel (mock-up i think) Luftfahrtmuseum

whihc is mostly Ansons, but he has some neat Battle front cockpit pieces (I’ve attached that one.
I’m shopping… who makes it??
Hadn’t noticed – been up to my ears with airshow work since last Wed. Thanks for letting us know.
How about lawn ornament… spotted this Vigilante in a mini-put at Subic Bay back in 2000
I think it was the work of the new trainee apprentice…. try to get all the paint and corrosion removed from one side…. 😉
(a little off topic – but it IS the desert and sand blasting is involved… gotta love the shine on those RPG rounds!)
Ok gang, a little less serious like the man said… this one is all supposed to be in fun…
Lets look at it this way, how about ‘most pointless pointy-end on an air force’?
I can honestly find reasons for any nation to militarily operate even a token force of liaison aircraft/helicopter/transport…
whew… thank god its been announced… Potter quietly told a few of us at the Ottawa Air Show Media Launch last Wednesday… try to keep that info in confidence for a while.
Definitely agreed… striking similarity to the Latecoere 17… no… wait that wasn’t it (or last night even)…. still a similarity – although the ‘cowling’ is all wrong – but then… why worry… definitely fun ‘though
I’ve been having fun with Fouga23’s link… the blog puts it in Egypt… I’m calling it a CR-42… the u/c struts have it in my eye.
I’m no expert, but aren’t those features just standard jpeg ‘artifacts’ due to the compression that jpeg use? You see them around sharp edges in jpegs when magnified.
Bingo… on the nose… exactly… 5 by 5… (and I can call myself an expert in that field)
I had to double check myself… the nav light was the clincher..
What type of aircraft is this Shrike on?
Anyone ever seen photos of the F-100F with Shrikes?
I’ve always wanted to see that, but I’ve never seen one.
Thats the F-105 Thunderchief… close examination of the Shrike shot reveals droop on fins of underwing tank. The deep inner pylon, and slight droop of the leading edge slat with streamlined protruding nav light on thin wing are all ‘Thud’.
look, I’ve gota buddy just landed in Chad… maybe he can swing through on his way back and collect it for me – we’ll put together a restoration… get her back to her original form… sorta like this i would imagine
what about an-32, DHC-7 (is it’s cargo version ?) , an-140 (cargo version) replacing caribous? i think it’s quite good planes for STOL tactical transport plane role.
As much as I’d like to see some DHC sales, I can’t see it happening – the -7 has been out of production for years and DHC (Bombardier) kind of designed their way out of the military/utility market without any read loading ramps since the Buffalo (gotta love that bird). Maybe someone could lobby for an updated version of the dhc-5 Buffalo… nothing wrong with the basic design.
