    Hi Alfonz,
i’m from Bulgaria, i will send you info in the coming days who you must contact here. We still have flying Su-25, MiG-21 and MiG-29. We even send one MiG-29(static display) to the Izmir airshow this year.

    800W! PSU” – 40 http://www.dabs.com/products/best-va…nity-793V.html

I don’t like your choice for PSU. It’s better to add more money and buy 650W Corsair for 60 or 600W Thermaltake for 70. I know that that there is somewhat huge difference, but i will not build system based on poor PSU. And i am sure that this Best Value PSU cannot deliver 800W, it’s not even certified for 80%+ energy efficiency. Also there is only 3 SATA cables. In short, go with Corsair.

MiG-29OVT in Varna, Bulgaria on the way to airshow in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It seems that the pretty girls likes it. After take-off the pilot did few spins.

No, the best tactic would be to sneak around, try to spoot vapor trials

Nonsence. Read what UAZ wrote. Su-15 is interceptor guided by ground control stations, not a fighter with good visibility and agility that can play games of cat and mouse. It was designed to operate in that way, what you wrote is pure fiction. And F-4E can escort B-52 only in missions in the European part of USSR.

I am from Bulgaria and i can tell you that anything our prime minister says must be taken with HUGE bag of salt. And in this case it’s only empty talk and speculation. We don’t have the money and i don’t see in the near future that we will have something like 300-500mil for any deal. So it will be best if that the title of the thread is changed to “What if…..”

Best way is to bomb the **** out of Gaddaffi troops after estbalishing a NFZ and then use AH1Z or Appache to desotry the armour.

It’s easy for an armchair general to just throw a solution that means killing of thousand of lives. I wonder if you have the guts to face any surviver that was “bombed the **** out” and told him that it was deserved. I know that there is nothing in my post that will change the minds of such people, they spend too much time in front of TV and playing games.
And btw on topic, i hope that if Typhoon will become battle proven, it will be against any fanatic Kadafi follower, not a pilot dumping his bombs in the desert.

One million to maintain two old subs, and some S-75, S-125, S-200 and S-300? For me that is cheap. The subs are realy of no use other to give some basic training for crews of future submarines. One picture of last year exercise.

Maybe i missed that 20 million figure, i only saw this: “Bulgaria should be encouraged to realize savings through elimination of defense elements that are ineffective or incompatible with multilateral missions, such as its two submarines and an outdated Russian Surface-to-Air missile system estimated to cost over million a year.”

Interesting to note the Russians still haven’t progressed on eliminating the smoke trails from thier engines from looking at the photo a few posts above, kinda reminds me of a BUFF with those trails.

And who say that this is an issue? I don’t know how many of you have ever seen MiG-29 in flight. Last year i was on 3 airshows with flying displays from MiG-29’s and i can tell you that from 1km away the smoke trail cannot be seen. Yes, it is quite visible in the moment when MiG-29 flies 200m from you, but with distance and little time it is gone. To me that is just a thing that every MiG-29 basher likes to point out and make an evidence how bad the fighter is.

And who do you suppose will suffer most from this game?

We, the people that will pay for even more costly oil, our(NATO) soldiers that are abroad and will face much better prepared opposition. It’s so easy to give theories and play scenarios behind the computer screen.

Losing a tank crew in cheap tank is not like losing pilot in cheap plane. The plane can be cheap, but pilot training will always be very expensive.

And if MiG-25 engage in dogfight, then something has gone terribly wrong. The same can be said for Su-15 and Tu-128. To wonder if interceptor never designed for close-in combat is just pointless.
