MP’s like Leopards seem incapable of changing their spots. I hope they jail him!
“I love the House of Commons and I hope by resigning I can serve by showing that MPs must take responsibility for their mistakes and accept the consequences of being in breach of the House rules.”
House Rules? its theft or fraud and they are criminal offences, not “House Rules”!
In the twisted logic of politicians, the only thing he did wrong was getting caught, “house rules” makes it sound on the level of getting back in after lights out, not fiddling £thousands all for personal gain.

Jesus christ.. Why the hell should this waste of air be allowed to live!!!
Rest assured this waste of space will be out on the streets again before very long, time off for “good” behaviour etc, plus some idiot will be making statements on his behalf as how he has changed and is ready to rejoin normal life.
These sort of scum turn my stomach, I would favour long distance swimming lessons for all of them, preferably starting mid-ocean with the nearest land at least 50 miles away.

Seen on the news, that the Met are selling their New Scotland Yard H.Q. to save on money, they have stated their new premises will be smaller, Will this mean that all those who cannot fit into their new H.Q. will be re located to patrol the streets?. Apparently they are taking lessons on how to put one foot in front of the other, as so many have forgotten how to “Walk the Streets”.;)
Jim.

Hardly Jim, by the time the cuts are finished a porta-cabin will be big enough.

Hmmm sadly it would appear in some areas charity does not begin at home.
That is so,so sad, I hope that “proud” homeowner can live with himself, I would hope that the majority would try to save animals in difficulty, giving sanctuary to a young mum with children is something I would have thought would be automatic.

Love the way this “honourable gentleman” wishes to apologize and take responsibility for his mistakes, some mistake, when it appears that he created the invoices, signed the cheques and banked the money.
Couple of observations, does resigned, let him walk away with pensions etc, just as all those who decided not to stand at the last election did and thereby saved their scrawny necks and ill gotten gains.
Amazingly many of those caught, seem to have the readies to hand to pay back their “mistakes”, obviously lack of finances was not a reason for the theft.

Even with the closure of deep coal mines the UK still produces 10million tons of coal mostly from open cast or open pit mines.
There are plans agreed to open an open cast mine containing 86billion tons of high grade anthracite, this is a very hard almost smokeless coal.
Surprisingly many of these sites are based on ex coal mines and the ground is being stripped away to get the coal rather than tunneling down to it, obviously this is not an option with very deep mines, but I was surprised to find that coal was still available relatively close to the surface even after years of mining.

Not the best looking aircraft ever, but at least the 126 had the excuse of being a flying test bed, look up Short Seamew and just think this was intended as a Fleet Air Arm plane, garden shed with wings is a polite description.
Don’t be silly, you’re thinking logically.;)
Saw the piece on BBC news, didn’t realise until now that the ferry service shuts down during the winter months, the Scilly Isles have very little cover for anyone in need of medical attention or indeed contact with the mainland.
Apparently there is a light aircraft service, but even that is subject to disruption during the winter months, locals have queried as to why there is no subsidised service as in the Scottish Islands.
