Yes, looks like a Yank part number Peter
Thanks Donaldson – that’s a quality post. Any Whitley memoirs at all?
It’s an armourment stores electrical socket – used in WW2 and for many years after.
Thanks guys. It’s possible to buy them direct from Myford but they cost an arm and a leg – more than the lathe cost in fact! Thanks for all the suggestions.
Thanks guys – i’m looking for a stand for the Myford ML7. This is much more numerous than the ML10. I need it for a Whitley related job.
Awesome pics Ian – amazing presevation too. Makes you wonder what else is waiting to be spat out of a glacier.
Thanks for the heads up Varsity – it’s not from a Whitley though i’m afraid… It doesn’t look WW2 to me either.
Seems bizarre to me to object to this loan…
Hi Roger – my records state that although mainly constructed at Whitley aerodrome, the prototype aircraft was completed at Baginton and the first flight took place from there as well.
Does anyone have Air Britains RAF Aircraft LA100-LZ999? I have gone through the other books – these are the Rootes built Halifax V candidates from the DG and EB serial ranges. All these aircraft are listed as missing – some from raids over Germany but I have included them as trying to get to neutral Sweden was common practice in a damaged aircraft:

DG245
DG252
DG349
DG405

Can anyone add in those from the LK and LL serial ranges please?
If it’s a five blader could it possibly be from a sea fury?
Hello – the part number is for a wing component from a Mosquito. Hope that helps – can’t see the other number.
Yes, Wellington. It also has a Wellington part number.
I think the bigger question would be would wind ventures be prepared to support the formation of a museum on the site? I am sure this would get a massive amount of support from the forum…
Thanks Smirky. They are actually destined for a mossie project, so there may well be differences. Thanks a lot for the offer of drawings though.
