The other Vampire T11 at Birlingham is in a very desperate state and needs saving, the pod may already be in a state that if moved it may fall apart, it is complete but I stuck my hand down inside and all I could feel was soaking wet wood. I know Graham and I have been in discussions to move it indoors to a new site, if not a few more winters like this one and the pod will be for parts only.
Thanks Ant
Any news on this one? Do you think it would be available?
And spade grips
Hi Stu
It’s vulcanite
The next time I see you and Gareth pull something out of a hole I want to see some high fives please.
My pleasure Peter. I just hope Air Ministry reads this before he goes to Newark!
I would seriously like to take a look in your garage someday Air Min
Er…. FN16 from a Whitley. I need the Palmer control box on the side… Could you be persuaded to do a deal Alan? 🙂
Good question Bruce. The person who wants the wings is not sure. From whay he says, something that might fit a mk3? I think I would be in the market for a large quantity of static stuff, whatever is available.
Hi Ian – your pull lever is almost certainly Albemarle. I’d be interested in it if you would let it go?
I don’t recognise the handle Ian but will check my Whitley bible when I get home
What about those guys in New Zealand? Replicore , I think they are called.
Yes I already spoke with Replicore – no luck getting drawings from them unfortunately.
Looking very nice. Hopefully I will make a visit soon too.
Thanks Andy – I will keep an eye out for it!
Cheers
My guess would be bomb sight or drift sight (some sort of sight!). Where’s our Halifax expert?
That yoke was auctioned elsewhere about a month ago. The wheel is similar to the whitley – the brake lever assembly looks identical. The number of corrugations is different. The yoke is completely different to the Whitley and Albemarle – my guess is a glider. Be good if someone can find some stamps on it.
