Oh fan-bloody-tastic ……..
We’re scrapping our harriers, 801Sqn is set to loose their birds very soon, and the replacement that would take years to replace them, is now going to take possibly alot longer, to never.
So where does that leave Britain in terms of all this?
Yep i held it on my train journey home from London
ahh right thanks. I’ll look forward to seeing them:)
Oh are they? I don’t know anything about the RN’s Stringbags. I was rather hoping we would see one or two active this year as they seemed to have been grounded for quite a while now. The last i heard of one in the air was legends 2000/01.
Legends 2003 for obvious reasons 🙁
Legends 2004 for the weather- for mid June it was fooking FREEZING!!!!!!!!
WOW great stuff. She is certainly a thing of beautie 🙂
I’ll have to get my dad to look at this lot to see if he can identify any of the Naval markings as he spent alot of his naval life working on the Bucc
Hey Joe!!, do you think we should try this on the M25 next?
They wouldnt laugh if junior pressed something that makes a noise or a movement …
The stupidity of people amazes me
Ok wrong choice of wording. I meant that to me , and perhaps other people it shows the aircraft at Hendon arnt just static displays, but instead did fight, and did get damaged. The Halibag shows this wonderfully i feel and therefore makes it a worthwhile exibition given the currect apperance. I wonder how many people have walked around seeing aircraft religated to a life of staying in one place with people commenting on them on how they dont ammount to much just standing there, until the get past the Wellington and see the Halifax laying there
I hope that reads better for you, I didnt mean what i said to sound callous or uncaring
I dont think that is the case at all. I actually like the wreck as to me, it brings home the image of war and makes everything worth while and gives relality
I do hope it was a myth, I thought all aircraft with bang seats HAVE to have the safty pins put in them to avoid such incidents…
The book ‘Fortress Malta’ might shed some light for you as it focus a bit on the ops the Eagle did before it sadly sunk
I saw two kids an their dad use the Avro York at Duxford as a climbing frame, running up and down inside it, playing about in the cockpit and whatever else. They were from the moronic subclass this country has, so theres no need to explain why they might of done it
wow she is stunning, lovely work indeed sir 🙂
Thanks chaps, been a help so far 🙂
