    kev 35. Thank you for those kind words ! I was not there, but my father was … luckily he returned … but was never able to talk much of his time on the beaches …. but sometimes the look on his face was enough !!!!

    For all of those who gave the ultimate for those of us who are here today to enjoy what we have !!! Thank You !!

    Moggy C. Very good point ! this photo came from a very large collection, which featured in a thread just over a year ago, if I remember correctly, there are names on the reverse of this group of photos, and one mentions “the addition of Sergeant” ?????
    Your assumption could answer another question ?

    In the photo below, 15 Sqdn. Mildenhall 1944, is that not the badge on the upper arm of the Sergeant on the left ? If this is so then, I think your initial image is upside down …. aa …. ?? not a problem !

    I may be, and very often am, wrong in thinking that someone has told me within the last few days that the Nimrod which arrived at Norwich yesterday (XV255) was the one allocated to Cosford ? and that Cosford had said they no longer wanted it ?????
    Is this why the arrival at Norwich was not known about untill Wed 19th May (last week) this fact came from the museum here at Norwich ?

    Ready for INCOMING ….;)

    Blue 2. Yup ! all for me me me :diablo: It will be interesting to see if the local museum are going to open it to Joe P, and how much will remain inside ??? and can I sit in the drivers seat and go ‘brum brum’ :p

    pagen01. Yes ! I have a very negative feel about that photo as well, maybe shouldn’t have posted it ?
    But on the bright side I think that must be Norwich Cathederal spire almost at the end of the Stbd wing :rolleyes: :rolleyes::
