    Could this be of help, a few photos from Colin Louries wonderful collection, these being from the visit of said aircraft carrier to the firth of forth between 20th and 27th July 1966 !!!

    Rob. Mmmm getting worried about you ???? It’s only an A320 ….. now please tell me … does a photo of a A320 have any other effect upon you ?? …… Ahah !!?? mmmmm just keep on with the tablets !!! ???? :D:D:D:D

    steve rowell. Hmm, I was suprised as only the yellow ‘tiger moth’ was out to play ? usualy there is a blue ‘tiger moth’ and a silver ‘tiger moth’ all playing happily together !! “what do you think children” maybe they have had a little squabble ??? next week we will look through the round window and hope to find them all playing together as friends ??? 😀 😀 😀 sorry steve a little uk humour ?

    mike currill. Yes when it approached I had a long lens on it and had no idea what I was looking at ? High wing, single engine, retracs …. and flying quite fast !

    Supurb photos Skymonster ! Thank you for sharing those, were they taken from an aircraft, baloon, helicopter, airship, huge hydraulic boom lift, or very tall person ?

    Tartan Pics. Thank you too for your nice words, Old Buckenham is in the sticks between Thetford and Norwich, just to the east of the A11 I enclose a map from their website and a little more colour …..

    Newforest. We get fed up tripping over Q6’s around here 😀 (what is a Q6 ?) Oh and your registration for the 1st photo in thread was, of course, correct, said glider was exposed today !

    Mike. Take that one hour journey some day soon, it is a jewel of a place !
    I understand the renovation of W4050 is progressing slowly, whilst at the moment the stripping of layers of paintwork (and recording of everything found) is the current phase.

    Newforest. UUMM ! Yes “SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SPECKSAVERS” Looked at all possible registration options !!!! but never thought the fourth letter was J ???? ….. Why ????? Thank you !

    Newforest ! Yes 😀 before posting any of my images from PANSHANGER ! I looked at every possible source of the name and found that all were spelled that way !!!! Except Google Earth seems to want to spell it both ways ????
