To get back to the subject a bit, Its intresting really that we think we have a right to know what Aircraft/projects they are working on in this Area, After all they are a private company working in a private Area of the of the musuem, Working often on private contracts for owners who may not want to go public about their project yet if at all.If they were not at Duxford i think there would be somewhat less intrest in what they do.
They really don’t need to show us or tell us anything do they?

Call it carpenter……it’ll probably do jobs all around the house!!

I think that is part of the charm of the aircraft, that it is ‘the Grace spitfire’ and if it wasn’t in the family then it would ‘just be another spit’, the same with MH434, it will always be the Hanna Spitfire won’t it? 😉

So true, So True, I would if i won such money Sponsor both these Spitfire’s so they stay forever in the UK and in the sky where they belong.

1) I buy my Mum’s house, my friends are all alright,Make so the wives family have somewhere great for them to live,Buy somewhere for me and the wife to live.
2) I would buy a Griffon Engined Spitfire and Hunter and operate them as a pair.
3)Buy a Gannet and Flyfly and donate to the RNHF to operate
4) Buy a A-26 Invader always loved them
5) Tour the world for a year or so
6)Start a bussiness in tourism maybe doing aviation tours in Dc-6s.

Not got any Dinky stuff they all the new Corgi series of Aviation models, Do have some hunters of that type but not sure on selling them yet.

I have watched this project from the very start and can assure you that it started as far more than a dataplate.
It makes me very cross that when people invest a huge amount of time and effort, not to mention money in restoring a warbird that people have to use phrases such as “questionable identity”

I wish everyone involved goodluck with this project, MH is doing a great thing by bringing another Mustang to life.

As i see it i would much rather see a substantial wreck rebuilt and brought to life than see a Static Airframe from a museum that could be original or near original condition rebuilt to fly.

As to rebuilding more recent crashed aircraft to fly , I understand that more recent Fatal crash Aircraft is a little more delicate point, But even then if the families of the person/person’s involved in crash have no problem with it then really why should we?, Yes its maybe its difficult at first and i have had my doubts in the past but really we should be thinking of preserving our history so our children and children’s children can still see things like mustangs fly in many years to come, It does not matter if the one flying is only part genuine if there is a original one intact in a museum for people to look at also, A flying Warbird does a lot for intresting people in the heroes who fought for our freedom.
