    Sad Sad news,
I like most people here are very very saddened by Ronnie Barkers passing, He was a Legend and for me he is my All-time comedy hero, A talent like his a doubt we will see again.
As Fletcher in Porridge he proved that even a prison setting could be funny and even now i feel they stand the test of time and are still funnier than most modern comedies are, They are special.
Another classic Open all Hours showed a completely different character to Fletcher and with Ronnie’s coaching it brought to the limelight another true Legend of Comedy and Drama in David Jason, I feel you can see Ronnie’s influence in much of David Jason’s work.
Of course with the Two Ronnie’s he had more classic moments as mentioned “Fork Handles” is legendary in itself, A great writer, great actor and a funny funny man, Never smutty( was always innuendo, never offensive) never using swearing like some other commedians do, And always in good taste.

R.I.P Ronnie Barker we will be laughing at you for many many years to come, Thank you for Brightening our lives.

This is good news and would be such a great item to have at most (not all) dank airshows currently.

Note that Fairford nevers pays ups for a Sea Vixen or Canberra display, so it will be up to the regional airshows such as Kemble, Biggin, Waddington, and Yeovilton maybe.
Farnborough have a policy not to display vintage jets, so don’t expect to see a Vulcan at Farnborough next year!

I would pay the extra £1/£2 per person as gate entrance if I knew it was going to these organiations to display such machines. Subject to servicability of course and the entrace prices don’t go daft as Fairford without valid reason.

I thought Farnborough were backing the Vulcan bid as in p[ast shows they had Vulcan Nose there and were promoting the Project, Even remeber it being mentioned maybe in 2006 we will see her in the Air here at farnborough by a Commentator, Also in 2004 there was a few Vintage Jets in the Display a Gnat, 2 Jet Provostsand a Hunter All Privately owned.
I think its great news that a Buccaneer could be on the Curcuit next year and plan to Email organisers asking if they know of this project and see if they plan to book her, I can already vision her flying across the Valley at Biggin Bucc’s always looked great doing that.

Some years ago there was talk of the Comet at Brunty being made airworthy, im just wondering that from a technical point of view would this be possible at present, and am I right in thinking the CAA may object due to the Comet being modified at Boscome Down ?

I was thinking about this Project a few days ago and was wondering whether anyone knew anything here, You beat me to posting Andrewman, I was under the impression that maybe she will not fly again as things went so quiet about her, I really would love to see her in the Skies again as the Comet is very much a Historic Aircraft that should be remembered.

Anyone know how modified she is?, I was told before she is nearer to a Nimrod than to Comet 4, Is this true?.

Biggin Hill would get my vote, Shorham would be another one as both are family shows with a Variety of both Classic and modern Aircraft.

Must be an interesting job flying that lead plane (a Piper Seneca?). Look to one side and you have a Spitfire and on the other wing you have a Hurricane. What more can you ask for? 😉 😀

Well if you were a German pilot in World War two i would say. You could ask for a new pair of Pants because i am pretty sure you would have filled the last ones after seeing a Spitfire to one side and a Hurricane to the other, Now 60 years since the war ended to be flanked by this pair has to be a treat to behold.
I am watching with intrest via the net the progress of this fine Team and loving the photo’s that have been posted here have been great, Thank you everyone who as posted and thank you to the Crews making this flight happen.

Jordan – I bet a bazillion teenage boys go to bed at night wishing they were her kids…

No silicon in the Milk is no good for you.
I dislike Jordan and Peter Andre, Neil and Christine Hamilton, Anyone from big brother who thinks they are a star,Pete Doherty and Kate Moss(sad and pathetic). I also really can’t stand Kerry Katona.
None of these have star quality and just love to be in the Newspapers or TV to feed a sad Ego.

Good luck this is a Fantastic Project, I hope the weather is kind and the trip as smooth as can be.
I also want to say a big Well done to everyone that has been working on making this project become a reality, The hard work will be rewarded when the island of Malta hears Merlins roaring through its skies again.

I Must admit i have seen a lot less wasps this year, Living in a flat which has a tree just a few metres away the little b*ggers often fly in when the windows are open, But only had 2 fly in this year(both died for that mistake :dev2: ).
As to the Spiders not seen many in the flat this year but the ones i have seen have been huge to the extent i was not sure whether to remove them, kill them or ask them kindly if they would help pay the rent, Normally i set a challenge if i can catch it first time it gets put out the window(second floor eight legs with a a lot of flapping it may survive), if not caught then its hit with a size 9 shoe, If escapes that then i ask it about paying rent 😀 .

Never imagined such a awful disaster would happen in Modern America it just seems so unreal, Terrible.
My thought are with all the people involved and the police the Army and resquers who need to try and regain some order in this disaster city.
It does seem the American Government has handled things badly but this is not the time to worry on that, This is the time to do all we can for the people who have lost so much.

Septic, the reason Delta did not join the static with the reds was that we were told to park on the other side of the runway. You may have noticed that as soon as the reds had vacated, we moved across!
    Cheers
    Dees

Did seem odd to have the classic jets on the far side while the “Reds” were near side but it was obviously so the Crowd coulsdsee the the team do a Formal start, Something i can not remember seeing from the Red Arrows in a long time, Was Great to see the Delta Aircraft move over after the “Reds” departed pity the sabre and T-33 stayed far side all weekend though.

I would like to say i thought the Delta display was fantastic and was a highlight for me for sure and i hope to see the team out and about more next year, Well done all involved.
