    It certainly strikes me as a lack of original thought. I blame the damned accountants. Making films is so expensive they stiffle a great deal of creativity by insisting on “guaranteed formulae” that will bring a predictable return. How many people go to see a remake because they enjoyed the original, only to be disappointed? The original film is the puller rather than the promise or risk of something new.

    I was wondering if it just done to the money glad to see people thinking the same as me,Its still risky though to remake films as they often flop when they get slated for not being so good.

    Can they do a remake of Zulu please?

    Only this time cast Jim Carrey as Michael Caine, and use REAL spears… 😉

    Zulu is bound to be on the list of remakes somewhere so you may get your wish yet Steve.

    This thread has gone mental its a funny read but its more confusing the later i read it,I can’t keep up,So far it looks like we got a Mossie a Stirling and a Merlin Engined Tigermoth for Legends 2005 and a chinese take away to come with that too,Am i right? 😀

    The award for maddest thread goes to this one and it all started so simple too.

    No – just likes being attached to his kneecaps! Plenty to look forward to at Breighton though – just have a little patience my dears!

    Its exciting to hear something new will be coming to Brieghton and maybe to the Airshow scene as well,Trouble is that the rumour mills go out of control as to peoples wild imaginations and all too often nobody even comes close to whats really planned.
    So whatever it maybe a Mossie,a G59 a Tigermoth with a merlin(my personal favourite of course) 😀 .Or something else i wish them luck with this project and can’t wait to see it.

    Never heard of the BBMF flying any Mk16’s at all in there history let alone losing any in accidents so i am little confused by this.
    I would say this is a collectors item for sure though.

    Probably be at Legends. I understand that Concorde will be at Leg Ends next year as well.

    Yes Concorde will be but with 4 merlin engines and a griffon in her nose 😀

    They did mention in past they wanted fly her as a Mk1 so maybe they are going to change nose now before flying her again.
