I paid £18 for my wife to see that miserable old tosser for her birthday once. She said it was good.

Far too depressing i reckon and i read somewhere they are comparing him to Ray Davies which is nonsense Ray a icon and i feel one of best songwriters going.

There going to be at Biggin Hill i will try take some photos have been looking forward to seeing there display.
Biggin has got the Do24 now too so shows shaping up fine lets hope weather turns ok.

Surely the fact so many people worldwide have claimed to have seen UFO’s and all the video footage prooves that there is something strange going on?

Yes there probably is something out there as it were,But why is it most of the video and photo footage of such sightings is so poor?.Theres really good quality camera equipment cheaply available yet i have yet to see a photo that convinces me a 100%.
Also the term UFO means Unidentified Flying Object so i guess that does not really mean from out of space either?,There is a lot going on we do not know about and never will thats just how it is i guess.

Yes indeed the pilot was Don Bullock, who not only carried 7 passengers but tried to roll the Invader at Biggin Hill in October 1980. There was no maintenance problem, but you DON’T attempt to roll an Invader at low-level, let alone with 7 passengers on board! Following that, the CAA ruled that only essential crew would be carried during air shows and no passengers. If anyone is found flouting this rule, they risk having their display permit withdrawn.

I was only 6 and a half when this accident occured but remember vividly seeing it on TV and my uncle who was there being dumbstuck it was one of the worst incidents to occur in the UK Airshow scene and be sure lessons were learnt and as we now know no non essential people are allowed to fly in any display routine.
I have read in “The Ghosts of Biggin Hill” book the Don Bullock had asked to practice the fatal roll before the show but was refused either way its history now and really should not be dragged up again.

Delved further! The edited safety reports show that this site can pretty much
just post based on newspaper reports and ignore the actual facts when thye arrive in the form of an AAIB report. The Vampire crash at Biggin Hill is shocking noting ‘the Vampire flew over the crowd four times before crashing’.
I am sure that didn’t happen.

I was at Biggin this sad weekend,The Vixen and Vampire were never near the crowd let alone above the crowd they flew a normal display axis and at time of accident were positioning at the contol tower end when the Vampire was caught in slipstream sadly the rest is history.

Who actually gives a stuff?

Even if the aircraft was painted lime green with red polka dots, I for one would still have still stood and watched the fantastic display by Ray Hanna…I realise the significance of the Polish markings, but hey, are we not quite fortunate to have an operator who is prepared:

A) to turn up and display the aeroplane

B) to re-paint the aeroplane, albeit temporarily for a special occasion

I had a great weekend, and didn’t even realise that MH434 had been repainted.

P.S. Did you buffs also notice that the Storch (Morane Saulnier Criquet) pilot was wearing the wrong type of headset for the mark of aeroplane?? and he wasnt wearing the regulation Luftwaffe socks either!

They did a great job i wish i saw her in those markings but sadly could not make Chailey,Anyone doing shoreham this year?
