Last year it was a good show but bit cold with the wind its worth it to see the Warbirds before they put to bed for winter as it were.
Last year was nice line up some Heavy metal from the RAF the LA9 last show here and Breitling Fighters last show also,Which made it special.
If we have some late summer early autumn sun its a great way to end the season.
Somehow I think that all of this is to have a slimmer UK Armed Forces so that we can marry up with some/all of the European Forces, Gawd help us! If they don’t like our wars they won’t fight with us………
………yes I can imagine what some of those ‘undone top button’ guys are thinking right now……… 😡
[FONT=Impact][I]we are all DOOMED, DOOMED i tell Ya,
What a state to be in.
Its sound unlikely the Big “Hurricane” was in 17th October 1987 and there was nothing around the news that i remember at that time.
The Avenger was definately at Legends in 1994, but not 1998 and it has never been to a RIAT show before, nor I don’t think has any Skyraider?
She has also been to Legends more recently i am not sure if it was 1997 or 1998 i am tending to think 1997 though.
There is something about canine saliva that does have healing powers (yes really!!) so animals really do know best 😎
Seriously, glad you’re OK mate 🙂 🙂 🙂
Willow
I have heard that one too,So being slobbered by your dog is good really.
Glad you ok i hate wasps which i swear is short for (Wicked,Animals,,stinging, people, sadisically)or something like that
All the best mate hey i be walsall way soon if you want meet up,Will miss you until you return mate.
I think there should be part of the forum for Camera advice etc,It would help us who are not so great and would be a good thing all round i think.
Was that Leg Ends or Classic Fighters??? One show evolved out of the other and the theme changed a little.
Legends started 1994 i am sure of it.
Two words
P39
Spitfires
But there was much more magic than that.
Best part about legends 2004 in two words?
Accident Free.
I agree that was a great thing my sister was rather worried about going this year after experencing what the loss of Neil and Bill last year i so wanted her to see a happier Legends and that happened this year.
I thought the ‘drama queens’ were an excelente touch because of them my first outing with a digital camera at least produced one decent photo, any way I would rather them than a group of people with big press badges round there neck( i still wouldnt say no to one though 😉 )
I think the the so called Drama queens add to show more than they take away and from what i saw they try not get in the photo’s unless you want them. They add to the feel of the show and what Steve Young wrote shows there worth more than anything.
I do not think the Aircraft are parked too close together and was able to photo all the Aircraft that displayed when i did the flightline walk(other than Pink lady who flew off when i was setting up camera so i did’nt photo her until she taxied later on in show. The four pound is money well spent for the photo’s you can achieve and although you can get closer to warbirds at shows like Biggin Hill you don’t get such good photo’s.
I will post some photos later if wanted but i am no Robbo etc when it comes to photo’s.
The p40 was great on the Saturday in the hands of Paul bonnholme who is one of those pilots no matter what he flies you can tell is him his personality as it were shines through.
I am sure its the Bearcat and am i right in thinking its first show was Biggin Hill in 1982?
Because I forgot 🙁
This and the I-15 would both have been even better within the tighter arena of OW as has already been said.
That Lockheed was scrummy.
Moggy
The Lockheed looked great and that is a heck of a polishing job on it too,I had never seen this type before she’s lovely.
As to the moaners please get a life it was one of the best Legends i have done and the lineup was great.
Not even the weather ruined it and it was the worst weather for a while for a legends.
