Lysander
Hope she will fly again always thought that was the plan and would be great to see a pair of lizzies together in the air again and Lysanders were so vital to the war effort .
Is ARCO planning to rebuild one to fly again also?
America
has never liked the fact we ment supersonic on land first and this looks like a belated attempt to go a bit faster,It looks bloody dangerous to me but then again starfighters alway look dangerous to me,Surely they could do better than this?Still they only go first supersonic aircraft by copying what Miles were doing the the UK.
my first airshow was..
Same venue as many people here it was Biggin Hill in 1977 i dont remember that day as was only 3 the first show i remember was Biggin Hill1982 as i arrived in my uncles car a b25 mitchell buzzed us,remember being amazed how close could get to aircraft and so glad to see a Spitfire as i was making a matchbox one with my uncle,I later found out that a certain Ray Hanna was the pilot and he became one of my heros from that day on.
Think i am convinced
i will buy the lens to convert my camera we would all like a SLR but digital ones cost a arm and a leg and if i lost them i would be crap at taking photos i think:D
Lense
Looks good pictures are impressive. How much did you pay for lense?

Fluffy am i right thinking sqn Ldr Rowley is ex Red Arrows?his name is very familar to me.
Maybe the Golden age..
Is gone if this the is the case September 11th is the main cause it was a world changing event that caused a reaction that still will rumble on for many years,The fact is we now are living with the terrorism threat it was obvious insurance companies would hike there insurance prices to cover this,THe awful events of Biggin Hill 2001 will never be forgotten by myself and anybody else who was there but at the end of the year figures for airshow crashes in uk were no worse than other years.
I hope Ray Hanna can start a debate like it says in the Paul Coggan report in Airplane,it would be intresting to hear what other operators views are,Rays operated warbirds in aerobatic
routines safely for years and his oppinions are very valid so lets hope a debate can be started as im wondering what operators are on what side of the fence on this subject. At all costs we must try to keep our preservation movement in this country,THESE PLANES WERE MADE TO FLY LETS KEEP THEM IN THE SKY.
met
Peter Green when he played live he aint normal even now.

there still good even with errors
You wont get any die cast aircraft in this price range with such high quality sadly there are errors with some models but then again there still surperb to look at,if you want perfect make yourself one from scratch.
Sad Sad Day
Didnt get to see last flight today can not believe its over this is a pathetic end to a great aircraft i still believe both BA and Air france knew she had potential for a new owner sadly we never got to see her in Virgin colours instead we going to see them gathering dust in collections thats not the way it ment to be.
if they scrap her
they would im sure be as gutted as we are mostly i c it as money wasted if they do that
Pity
