hope your right daz be nice to see a spitfire in a differant role again,i have always loved the pr mkxi for its clean lines it was never a fighter but its duties did much for the war effort although the sands of time make people forget that fact and the fact the Hurricane had many more kills than the spitfire dueing the Battle of Britain and in some ways were the better aircraft as they could easily be patched up to fly again unlike the spits, guess its just spits look bit prettier eh.

it will be a crying shame if she not fly again.

I have read all your personal reviews on this thread with interest. Also to note is that airshows will not have to pay for a Vulcan Display. She will display with the love from the British public who funded her through the HLF grant. I was in the 558’s hanger last night (I had permission!) and a lot of work has been done pre major service. We might as well finish what we started and get a Vulcan in display gain.
David Walton is currently the owner of XH558.

I am so glad to see theres still a passion for 558,and pray she will fly again, few years ago we were told a supersonic jet would never be let fly in the uk in private hands, and we now have one in the Sea Vixen.without hope and dreams aviation is doomed we should be behind any attempt to fly her i say go David make it happen.

    well

dont think the blame thing is worthwhile after all at the end of the day you still got a badly damage blenhiem but at least no deaths that in a year where death not ever been that far away airshow wise, there is hope she fly again dead pilots dont.
