The things that really get “Up my …” are
1) People rustling crisp packet etc, that noise really gets to me
2) Rich people and companies avoiding taxes and big bonuses for failing
3) Government and MPS telling us how to lead our lives whilst they do the opposite.
4)Adverts like Go-compare,No-No, etc
5) The claim culture “yes you have had a accident live with it, we used to”
6) PPI adverts nobody needs these companies to help them, they can do it themselves.

I hope the weather improves soon and the Shuttleworth guys get more luck for the next event.
It would be Ray and Mark Hanna for me too, I owe my love of aircraft in so many ways to the performances I saw them do. Gone but sure as hell not forgotten.
It was a great little event and only a £10 to enter. Always wanted to go to a Goodwood festival of spped but prices seem high and heard bad reviews about viewing also. As a photography lover I would hope to get similiar shots at Goodwood, anyone know if possible?.

In interest has any of the more recent Eurovision winners had a big career in Europe afterwards?
I agree with J. Boyle that European artists have a hard time breaking into the market here and things might bode well with the latest winner as it seems scandinavian have broken into the UK charts better than most other European countries with ABBA,A-HA Bjork and Europe coming to mind.
I see your point Lincoln 7, that countries would chose to sing in their own languages, but in terms of any act hitting a mass market English would be the way forward. Agreed it would be a touch sensitive for some countries to sing in English but you can’t please all the people can you 😀
In all seriousness I do think the Eurovision has become a joke of a contest music wise, but the fact we are still talking about it shows it has a popularity.

I do not think its about winning or not winning. Its more about the fact the voting system etc is weighted so many countries including the UK stand no chance of winning or even coming close. Thats no in the spirit of competition at all, even in football or rugby an underdog can win.
I understood we are a buy in to the finals as we invest so much into it each year. It would make sense to pull out of the whole thing and I am sure people from other countries feel the same about it.
Either restructure it so nationality is not known until after the voting or ditch it as a dated thing no longer up to purpose.

Anna I Love the F-16 over the moon, and excuse the pun you should be over the moon with all of those shots.
What, like Engleberk Dumpertruck?:)
We should win it as all those Olympic venues need something to do after 2012 :D.
I am sure we have sent a pensioner as original aim was the Queen would go and do some pumping beats. But the duke of Ed was jealous as he was’nt allowed backing vocal part 😀
Either way I intend to be well away from the TV so not to sit through the torture fest, Not much good is coming from Europe right now and this certainly is on the list of cr*p we put up with.

I thought that was a big mistake saying we can’t afford to win it, surely its better to enter somebody awful and keep quiet:D
