Very very nice indeed, Hope tey are still attending Duxford next weekend.
This report makes stunningly awful reading. I am suprised that any operator would allow for such failings in procedure, and total disrespect for safety. Its puzzling why the pilot chose to fly the aircraft again after the flame out etc and why the aircraft was not fully checked then is beyond belief.
Sadly it seems safety was taken second to flying and unfortunately everyone involved at TC including the piot played a role in that and the subsequent accident.
I agree is makes the CAA look very good for not allowing a Lightning on the UK scene, However it still has to be seen that had correct procedures been followed this accident would probably not have happened. Almost all accidents can be avoided after all by not being over familiar or cutting corners, ultimately the pilot paid the ultimate price for these failings and I doubt a lightning will ever reach the skies again.
One of my favourite actors and a British legend, sad to hear he is suffering with Parkinsons and wish him all the best.

Now that is very very nice indeed.
Hope you had a great one mate.

Mind you if it’s her or the Mustang, no brainer really.
Thats true, Mind you I can’t fly a Mustang:D

Awful accident, RIP sir.
I would not want another Flying Legends as that would take away the specialness that Legends has. However I would like to see a jet version of Legends taking us through the jet age from early jets right through to the modern age.
Hold this show at Bruntingthorpe and then the taxing Buccaneers, Victors and Lightnings can be involved and see if the Viggen and Draken from Sweden could join the party.
OK back to the real world, Much like hampden98, I just wish we still had the variety shows that Biggin Hill and North Weald gave us, Shoreham is the nearest to these shows now and has a very family feel about it , but sadly it can not get jet fighters on the ground or have jet display teams so its not exactly the same.
I think the way forward maybe some more flyin’s like North Weald has done recently, with some great aircraft where the public can get up close and really see how great these machines are.
