I can understand national pride and wanting to be ruled less by the current government(we all want an alternative to that) I am just not sure how it benefits Scotland or anyone for that matter.
Does independence really exist these days? We are all tied in to Europe and the European Union laws and treaties etc. I think this will be a case of United we sink or divided we sink either way we in troubled waters.

I would of thougtht being United would be safer than being a smaller country at this time of economic troubles. Either way good luck Scotland in whatever you decide its a lovely part of Europe.

Its such a shame to see David Jason is such a programme, For me its like a cheap Pink Panther type thing without the charm.
David Jason is far better than the show and does not use any of the talents he has. I hope the BBC puts this show out to rest and get David something he can shine in once more.

The other song that does it for me,but is also one of those songs I no longer play that often is “Days” by either The Kinks or Kirsty McColl.
When my Dad died 11 years ago I was playing both versions pretty much for the comfort the song brang and on the memories that flooded back. By cruel irony the day of my Dads funeral Kirsty was killed and that weeks Croydon Advertiser had story about her on the same page as an obituary message about my Dad, there were other links like she was born in same hospital my Dad died in etc but thats another story.

The next year I went to see Ray Davies play live we had second row seats , He played “Days” and was looking straight at me as tears rolled down my face, magical song and for me an emotional one.

In so many ways it does not matter who is owning/looking after them at this time. What matters more is whether the owner/owners are kind enough to let the public see them during the time they own them.

I live pretty local to Biggin Hill and It feels exciting times with what Spitfires are currently at the airport, So lets see what the year brings.

Personally I feel as long as we leave some aircraft im museums and protect the artifacts and relics that way for future generations then I am happy for other airframes to become projects to fly.
I for one would never of been so interested in aircraft had I first not made and airfix model of a Spitfire with my uncle and a very young age and secondly seen Ray Hanna display Spifire MH434 at Biggin Hill when I was 8.

Seeing a aircraft fly can never be subsituted by seeing them statically in terms of the sight the sound even the smell in some cases.
So really for me not everything should fly not everything should be preserved in musuems.

I am not against Vinyl nose art as long as its done in a style that looks like its from the same period as the aircraft. Or if its only temporary such as advertising logos and sponsorship.

In a way it makes sense for the owner who has to think more on just airshow appearances alone if he wants to even see a bit of return on his/her investment. Advertising and films still sometimes want to use real aircraft and not just CGI. So I would think a good way to make your aircraft more useful is to have the option to easily change markings and nose art vinyl certainly makes this easier than painting and also mean you can return your aircraft back to whatever scheme you want again after without too much fuss.

Theres no logic in getting out of the EU as far as I can see. The world outside the EU is not any better than in it. So as I see it stay where you are and ride out the storm, rather than tackle the storm alone.
