I guess its to stop the Argies bringing it back into service for when they take the Islands back/ get given back (delete as appropiate) soon.
Its more modern than what they have and would be one less thing we’d need to shoot down by our Harriers, Phantoms, Tornado F3s, last remaining Typhoon (guns only, no missiles left) off the Carrier, from Ascension air refuelled by our tanker force of Victors, VC10s, last remaining Tristar (if we can afford the fuel), backed up by our elint Nimrod R1, Falkland islander with telephone, covered by SAR Nimrod MR2P, Padstow Lifeboat. We would then send a large fleet of ships comprising of Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers, Amphibious Landing Carrier,, Mine sweepers 1 Destroyer (if available) and the IOW ferry, manned by the latest elite 2 Para 42 Commando Traffic Wardens, a group of fanatics who usually p*ss people off in this country, that will cause serious trouble down south.

How does it glorify war? We didn’t use the F4 to take the Islands back, putting a defunct aeroplane on the gate to an RAF base has been a tradition for a number of years now, does this mean all gateguards are glorifying war?

Makes me smile Makes me laugh Does my head in:(

Nothing more to be added to that post at all, Job done 😀

For me a lot of the more modern comedies and comedians are just trying to be vulgar for the sake of it, possibly to hit headlines etc.
I am probably more into the older comedies and comedians than the new ones, ith thed likes of Dave allen,Ronnie Barker and Billy Connolly being among my comedy heroes, I also collect a lot of the older sitcoms from the 70s and 80s which I grew up with

Modern stand up comedians that I do think are Ok,
Lee Evans,Lee Hurst, Stephen K Amos,Micky Flanagan,Sarah Millican, Lee Mack and Tim Vine(at times),John Bishop, Al Murray is a pretty good character more a modern day Alf Garnett in a way.

    Modern sitcoms I like are
Not going out,Miranda and Outnumbered. All of which really follow older style of sitcoms really.
Ricky Gervias just really annoys me he is unfunny and big headed in my view,Peter kaye is too repetive although was very funny at first.
Little Britain was just too much of the same thing and for me less funny than it ever got rated.

I am not against swearing etc, what I do have an issue is when its just for the sake of it, Also things like people being sick or other body function just is not amusing at all let alone after the 20th time.

I guess really though We all need a laugh every now and then after all life is hard and laughter just make things better for a bit, So I figure if it makes you laugh and does not hurt anyone else then what the hell, keep smiling.

I feel the whole thing was a publicity stunt, Clarkson has a new DVD out and the One show would not miss a bit of publicity either,so both hit the front page with this.
As to scripted maybe it was, Either way its amusing how people have reacted as he did have a pop at both sides, But only the union side is being widely mentioned.

Clarkson loves to be controversial and opinionated

Do we really want a day when people can not show any opinion on TV without a mass complaint coming in. I still wonder how many people either complained for the sake of it, or watched it on youtube so they could be suitably offended.

The irony for me is, Its 2011 and we have world crisis going on, wars, ecomonic failure etc and a light entertainment show with a guest who is known for controversy can upset people.
Its sad world we live in, people need to get priorities straight.

This complaining about his comments is just literally another “Ooh im offended because I can be ” from a country that just seems to have forgot its way totally. Where are the people complaining on the real issues? and using their opinions for change instead of on things like this. Its almost like people are not allowed to say anything anymore incase upsets somebody, a nanny state.

Lets be honest if you listen to the whole conversation he had a pop at both sides and it was clearly meant as a joke, Ok it may of been a bit silly but jokes can be a bit risque and Clarkson is well known for strong views and headline grabbing and lets be honest The One show gained a fair bit of publicity from this too.

Hi Danjama and PeeDee, Yes i have worked out the batch uploading thing on Flickr and indded PeeDee is correct that its the tagging and labeling of photos that is taking me so long.
Danjama, I also do not exclusively take aviation photos either, I really have a big thing for taking photos of historic buildings, cars, flowers etc too. I like to capture local history and sadly the loss of local history too, also I enjoy to travel so always come back with loads of photos from anywhere I go.

The main problem with my collection is that friends and family have a quick peek and sometimes myself or the wife will go back over some of them, mainly after I have edited.

How do I get involved in groups? wait invites?
