Sadly I think Greece is the tip of the iceberg really and I see unrest spreading across Europe as people get fed up with the cut backs, It looks like the delicate balancing act that been going on is set to fall.

I also thing the Eurozone and the European Union in general could well be pulled apart by this. Personally I have always thought the European Union became to big and let in too many countries that were less economically strong.

Only France and Germany can be said to be really stable in Europe now and even they are suffering in this situation. The more money that goes into bailing out countries such as Greece is only going to breed more contempt in the public of Europe and in effect turn more people against the European union and what it stands for.

I’m unsure if countries could or would pull out of the Euro, But as a currency its going to be hugely weakened by all this which only spells more bad news and instability.
As to public unrest, The unions here in the UK are already going towards mass protests and theres is nothing to say this will not become more frequent as the situation goes on.

Its strange times we are living in, really things seemed to calm a bit after the banking crisis that caused the recession to start. Some countries even managed to record some growth, However now the austerity measures are starting to take hold things are sliding back fast and I personally fear we will suffer more than we can imagine.

Such a shame, He was a driving force of E street band and for me a true legend.

I love Miss D’s scheme its a bit different from any other classic jet on the scene at the moment and “Flapjack” really displays her so well. One of my favourite acts on the curcuit for sure.

I think PC although it was/is well intended has become more of a stick to hit people with rather than something sensible, Which is so sad.

We are now at stage where everyone is too worried to upset anybody, Even to the point that putting up Christmas lights or showing the Union Flag or English flag is taken as non PC.

I tend to argree with Tornado64 that is middle class people who create so much fuss on whats not PC and in effect I feel the whole thing as lost touch with the real world.

Its correct that nobody should feel prejusticed against, And racism,Sexism,sectarianism etc should not be tolerated in the modern world.
But things such as freedom of speech and national identity should not be crushed in the rush not to offend.

Unfortunately you can not please everybody all the time, LIke wise its difficult to offend everybody at once, So the PC balancing act goes on.

I tend to think if something I do is going to effect a minority of people not point doing it, Much better to upset the majority of people that way you have really arrived 😀

That statement makes very sad reading, I assume the Fire service were worried that if got Fire Engines stuck they would be out of action for any other emergency. a tough choice to make.

I honestly watch so little these days, So I would agree to advertising now.
Maybe it would increase quality of shows if more money invested from advertisments.
My only concern is its easy to avoid adverts these days if you record via PC etc so would their be a big demand to advertise on more channels?

Sadly Sky High you are exactly right, and it greatly upsets me the way things are at the moment.
I’m not anti-NATO,UN or American, Its just the values just don’t fit in anymore and it seems the quest is driven by money and not human life.
