A whitewash really bugs me, especially as it may prove not in many peoples interest for some information to come out.

This is a sad turn of events though.

My main questions are how far does this coruption and phone hacking thing go?, Who were being paid by the press? and what were they being paid for?.
It seems clear that it will involve very high ranking officers/detectives as they would be the ones with the valuable information etc.

With the two top Police officers resigning from the MET police over the last 2 days and politicians wincing rather a lot we can only assume much more is yet to come out and maybe more big people will fall.

I am sure that everyone can see getting rid of the name “News of the world” does not change anything at all and in effect is just a way of trying to dump the whole thing thats happened. Such a cynical move shows lack of respect even for its customers from News international.

I do not want to see the loss of freedom of the press as thats loss of freedom of speech too. However this can not end here and an investigation needs to be independant and bring people to book.

Everyday this story becomes more and more sickening and disgusting. Its totally evil that in particular murder victims and soldiers families were hacked, Having lost my Mum recently I know the grief the families must be/been going through and nobody has the right to play with others lives like that.

I for one will never buy one of the news international groups newspapers again, and hope there will be a total boycott of the News of the World from buyers and advertisers. I would also like to see a huge fine on the Newspaper which would go the charities such as Help for Heroes.

While I am totally disgusted by what the News International group have done, I do wonder if the News of the World was the only newpaper using such sick methods of news gathering.

I fear this runs deeper through all the tabaloids and this just tip of the iceberg, and I do think this coming out now is connected to the Sky TV deal thats going through with the government rather than somebody trying to clean up the newspaper world.

For me its time for a total clean up of news reporting to prevent such awful things happening again, Until then No newspaper is going to cross my threshold.

Are Scandinavian Vampires staying in UK a while? Can’t remember last time saw a single seater one.
P-40F looks absolutely stunning and does the P-47 and 3 buchon’s in one place thats fantastic, LIke the colour schemes on the visiting P-51s too.

I am really hoping I feel OK for this weekends show, Lost my Mum last week and have funeral tommorow and basically have not really faced many people since she passed. But I hope Legends will let me escape the grief thats around me at the moment.

In effect people are discussing the Greek crisis really, Afterall nobody is really that worried what happens to Greece I am sad to say . Everyone is worried what happens to their own country and altimately how it will effect their lives, Its human nature.

As I see it long term Greece will owe the rest of the EU a huge amount of cash they can not repay, Short term the Greek government will carry on stumbling through.

The people of Greece will suffer due to austerity measures, There will be more unrest and that unrest will go all across Europe as more people in every country get fed up with whats going on.

As I said before the debt crisis in Greece is just a tip of a very big iceberg and many countries are also in very similar situations, Its not going to get better over night or probably for some countries for many years or decades and sadly there is no easy solution to any of it.

We have our Sh1t creek to go up and so far nobody made the paddle.

For me it is not so much that some of our laws are drafted in euroland,it is more the huge cost of running needless layers of government/hangers on etc.
As I and others have said before also the EU has become too large and absorbed too many inefficient/bankrupt/corrupt countries,it was bad enough with farming subsidies back in the 70’s/80’s but now the whole thing is a wasteful mess/financial black hole.
The question may not be ‘what would happen if we withdraw’…it might be ‘what will happen if we dont withdraw’.

    I tottally agree

Trouble is too many people have had a hand in the pot, and you could argue thats why certain countries joined in the first place.
I would not get into EU slagging off as I am not really against it in its earlier form.

In some ways the problem now less with the European union and more with the Euro itself. Country after country dumped their weak currency and took on the Euro. The best decision the UK has made in last 10 years was not taking on the Euro when we could of.

The thing is now I do not see an easy way for the UK to pull out of it because we are so tied in now, Its going to be a bump ride.
