    RIP Ray sir.
Airshows have never been the same since, Can’t believe its five years since he passed.
I literally have Ray to thank for my love of airshows and aviation, If I had not seen Ray display at Biggin Hill in 1982 when I was a child I doubt I would be so interested.

The Hanna’s gave so many happy memories at airshows at Ray was always stunning in whatever aircraft he displayed art in motion really. It pleases me to see MH434 still flown in a style Ray and Mark would approve of by Nigel Lamb and Lee Proudfoot in particular. Nigel even putting in a valley dive at Biggin pure Ray Hanna sublime.

Blue skies forever Ray you are much missed.

I would like to echo the thoughts and hopes of everyone here. It would be amazing to see a Mossie fly again.
The last time I saw one fly was at flying Legends in 1996 the week before RR299 was tragically lost. For me there’s is very little as lovely sounding and looking as a Mosquito.

Good luck with this project to all that are involved.

This is proving a great thread, what is more special is why the photo chosen is the photographers favourite of the year.
I have always said the memories of a photo can surpass the photo itself and give it something really special.

Thanks for posting guys and sharing the moment.

To be honest its less the photo itself, and more the time I have waited to get such a shot.
Having waited a long time to catch a Harrier blow drying a runway on camera. This years Shoreham airshow finally gave me the chance.
Little did I know at the time it was also be the last time I saw a Harrier in RAF colours, Al the more symbolic now i feel.

Sunday morning over Croydon what appeared to be a Tigermoth looked silver. Could not read its G serial number as sky was hazy or my eyes were from night before.:D

Lovely photos, It was my first visit to the Shuttleworth collection and felt it was a shame the weather did not play ball. Although I expected worse.

PT in Jumping Jaques was stunning well worth the visit alone, I intend to go back to Old Warden next year for sure,Only trouble I ahd is being a non-driver I need catch a friend wanting to go there too.

They are really stunning. I like the last one of the 2 Seater Spitfire she looks almost like a model.

I read somewhere it is capable of 99mph. At that speed I was wondering if where the Pope sits is fitted with an air bag other than himself that is.

I hear he bought it on the internet using Papal.

    Sorry I’ll get me coat.

A small question… have you sold the rights to these images…?

The only reason I ask is that im in Switzerland at the moment, this afternoon I picked up a newspaper on the train into Zurich and your pictures are on page 11…

    Zeb

I was wondering the same as several papers in the UK published them today.
I hope all published them with your consent.
