This aircraft might not be an unusual design, but its not very well known (does that count as unusual?).
Its the kinda jet that makes me scream “I’m having one!”
Someone over at Skyfox Corporation thought it would be cool to “hotrod” a T-33, since there were so many around. Unfortunatly no one else found the idea
appealing, even when Boeing took charge. The Skyfox Corporation/Boeing Skyfox.

I like that.
In intrest how many currently fly or are in a flightworthy condition?
1) I use a Canon 350D – I’d recommend it but the 400D has superseeded it!
2) Canon will probably be replacing the 400D shortly so they may well come down in price, check out the web for prices
3) For Aircraft 75-300 zoom would do these sell for around £150. Sigmas version probably sells for less. If you want quality (and more reach) you are looking at either Sigma’s 50-500 (around £800ish) or Canons EF100-400L IS (around £1000)
Macro photography isn’t really my speciality, i’d like to but that would mean more spending!4) Depends on what you mean by jump! If you have your cam on Auto then yes as having a DSLR on auto would be a bit of a waste of money! Although you can learn and benefit with the DSLR, Digital offers somthing what film never did, you can take practice shots without extra cost of developing so i’d say not that big a jump.
6) This depends on A) your storage to PC and cameras media card,
B) if you are going to use it on full resolution, More pixels means more cropping without getting pixalated/noise. That said a 6X4 print is easily printed on less than 3 mega pixels.
I would go for at least 8 mega pixels for the ease of cropping to centre and enlarging prints. This is just my opinion but hope its helped,
H
Thanks for the advice, I will look in to saving up i reckon, And somehow talk the wife into it too.
I support this idea. Currectly I uses S9600 and I am impress about it. But the only bad thing is the focus system. It’s very slow so it’s hard to catch the aerobatic flying. Luckily it’s a manual zoom. If S8000 got the electronic zoom, I do not recommend. 😀
Thanks for the advice
I’m not sure that the S8000 is a worthwhile upgrade from the S5600. I’d put your money aside and save it until you can get something substantially better. It’s a relatively minor change as far as prosumer cameras go.
DSLRs prices are starting to come down, at long last. I’ll be sticking with my S6500fd for another season and I certainly wouldn’t “upgrade” that to the S8000 – which has the S5xxx’s type of electric zoom.
Thanks for the advice, To be honest what scares me off DSLR is all the different lenses i would need.
Sad to see that he has passed on.Thought he was very underated.

I agree he was underated RIP Roy

Lets be honest this result is no suprise in a culture where fame and celebrity means appearing in some reality show on TV.
You only have to look around to see that children really have no care for history these days, I guess its all part of the same thing that has led to the general lack of respect for other human beings and for themselves.
It seems to me many do not know about current affairs let alone history, This leaves me so sad when i think of those who fought for this country.

I have often stated on this, and other threads, that Hollywood has run out of original ideas. After this piece of “news” I rest my case.
I have been thinking the same for a long time now, I am not sure if its just a lack of ideas, Or its more a lack of vision. A Re-hashed version of a classic film will bring a lot of people to it, A completely new idea may not, And i think the movie industry is not willing to take the risk anymore.
I have yet to see a new version of a film that i prefer more than the original, But if i was to nominate my worst remake that would go to the Jude Law version of “Alfie”, It totally missed the point of the original.
As to remaking Bullitt i can not see any reason why they would want to, Steve McQueen was and is a icon and a hero, and the film Bullitt is for me and i am sure many others Steve at his most iconic, Putting Brad Pitt in the same role is a insult and thats no disrespect to Brad Pitt.

Yes sad sad news, I think many of us grew up with him on TV, He was much more than a prankster though and did a huge amount for charity.
RIP Jeremy

If this forum is anything to go by i think the public will be split on this one.
My personal feeling is its a bad idea, It will make the person in uniform a target for anybody with a grudge and i don’t just mean terrorists, Turning up in a lot of pubs in uniform would make you a target for any stupid thug who thinks its great to “take on a army guy”, Also i would not want to see anybody in uniform drinking heavily etc, For me its better that anyone in the services is able to leave there “Job” behind them when they are on leave.
What i would much rather see is home coming parades for troops, Days where the public can meet the troops and for the government to subsidise a discount card for everybody in the services that can be use in shops, pubs resturants etc.
