The most powerful image of the day came to me as I looked through the viewfinder of the camera at the blank Southern wall. I put the camera down without taking the shot. Sadly, the names of future generations will adorn that wall. Maybe then I’ll take a photograph.

    Regards,

    kev35

I can’t help thinking and wishing that wall could stay blank, War is so futile in the long run and we have learned nothing in more than 2000 years when it comes to peace, But we have learnt plenty on how to kill, Thats the sad bit that all theses name are not only lost lives and families and friends that lives were never the same again, What a waste.

Got the latest 10 track album from Ray Davies (ex Kinks) which was given away in Sunday’s Times. It’s called Working Man’s Cafe and is a welcome return to catchy tunes from one of Britain’s best tunesmith’s.

I picked up this “freebie” too and have to say its a superb album, As i am a huge fan of Ray Davies and the Kinks i decided to buy the album also, It was not due to be out until the 29th October but on monday 22nd i was in the local Virgin megastore and saw it for £7 it has 2 extra tracks from the “Freebie”, I went to the till to find i had the bargain of the year as it came out as £2 on the till.

If the songs were in Irish then English-speaking folk wouldn’t understand what they were on about.

No point in making up songs about the iniquity of one’s adversary if said adversary can’t make head or tail of them, is there? :p

Thats exactly what i was thinking.

Has it been proved that McLaren used any of the data that was stolen from Ferrari?, I can’t remember seeing anything in what i have read on the subject to say so, Its right that McLaren were fined and points taken from them for this but are Ferrari a innocent party?, I would say not it seems they often bend the rules the tyre situation on sunday was proof of how they act and its not the only time. I know Ferrari are a legendary name in F1 and cleary the sport does not want to upset them, The trouble is that seems to let them get away with things.

Sadly this whole situation has taken any of the remaining gloss of what was once a fine sport, This season should be something special there is a “Rookie” driver in Lewis Hamilton leading the championship and lightly to win the title, Thats something that for the sport is historic, Instead history will show it as the season McLaren were docked points for cheating and that taints whoever wins the Championship now whether its Alsono or as most of us hope Lewis Hamilton.

We can only hope next season F1 gets back to racing and not to court cases and bickering between teams and drivers, F1 can still have a good future and with young talent like Lewis involved it should be intresting, We never get back to the “Good old days” but i don’t think the sport is dead quiet yet.

I can’t believe its 8 years, The scene has never been the same without Mark, He and Ray provided so many of my happy airshow memories.
    Much missed but never forgotten.

I am not suprised he has gone but was suprised it happened so soon, It seems there had been tensions for sometime now, He was arrogant, cocky and quiet amusing at times, He knew how to play the press and how to wind up the rest of the teams in the premier and he was a good motivator, Having said that considering the money spent on Chelsea they did often under perform.
Im a Palace fan myself and a while back Jose said he would love to stay in London for 2012 even if he is manager at Crystal Palace, Maybe he was not joking after all lol, I have a feeling there will be a job coming up at selhurst soon, So if you fancy it Jose send your CV to Simon Jordan at Selhurst park.

Joking aside i hope we see more of Mourhino in England because for all his faults he makes a great character.
