I feel sorry for all that have gave so much time and effort to organising the show, But with the weather the way it is i feel its understandable,The weather map for the centre of the country does look pretty bad today, Lets hope summer comes soon, Maybe after Wimbledon is out of the way things will improve.

Yes Id love to see Concorde airbourne again, I used to live in South Croydon and at 6pm Id be in my garden gazing skywards to see her fly overhead, but alas, no more 😡 🙁 Bex

Yeah i got that same memory, Concorde was the one Aircraft that attracted everyones eye as it came over Croydon.

Well Martin I assume you are referring to my post about the Swordfish. Yes I could have worded the title a little better but if you read the fifth line of the post you will see that I did not have a date or year for that matter and neither was I sure of the aircraft type either. It takes a few seconds to open a post so hopefully you can contain your dread and shudders and I also hope that your hypersensitivity is curable.

I don’t personally feel over hypersensitive but having witnessed four high profile accidents that sadly cost six people there lives i do naturally have some sensitivity to such things.

Would be nice if people included that date in the title, This is the second thread that has had something to do with a old crash that has not had a date in the title and could cause offence.

When she first arrived in the Uk at Duxford she had a feathered prop, Remember the role the Catalina was originally designed a feathered prop is nothing new or dramatic.

Its great to hear she is back well done to all involved, I look forward to seeing her again soon, I think most people have a fondness for her.
Was ARCO involved with her engine change?, Or was John Romain just involved in testing?.
I have to say i missed her at Biggin this year she has become very much part of Biggin Hill airshows and i hope she will be at many many more as a tribute to Ray and Mark.

Nope i can’t find anything good to say about it, Other than nice pay day for its creator £400,000 i think the cost was, Somebody must have seen the olympic commitee coming.
I think its such a shame that they have decided to choose a logo that really does not stand for anything and certainly does not make you want to rush out and buy something with it on, I hoped and thought the logo would be something a bit more aimed at attracting the kids and young adults to get more involved in sports and show intrest in the olympics, This logo does not inspire in my view and if it does not inspire it is a wasted optitunity.
