I like to think i am a Hurricane Mk1, Strong reliable gets the job done, Can take a bit of a beating, But always left in the shadow by a more good looking counterpart.
Think the wife see’s me as something a bit different she says i am carrying a bit of extra weight and sometimes a bit slow, Any suggestions?

I have been looking at the Samsung Pro 815 as a option to replace my defunct Fuji602, The 815 has a 15x zoom which they say is roughly the same as a 400mm lense, Its ment to be fast and will also suit the day to day family needs as well, I am hoping just after Christmas to buy one im leaving it a while to see if there is any deals around this time, They retail at around £500 in shops but less on the net.

Like most essential services not funded by our taxes,it takes an incident like the hamsters crash to highlight the importance of these services.I agree that funding needs to be found and the stealth tax of GATSO could be one but at some stage the government needs to realise that funding needs to be seriously looked at, 200k wont last long.

I totally agree Helecopter Ambalance’s have proved their worth countless times in saving people’s lives, They been used in Major incidents to good effect as well as more normal accidents, How many people have survived a accident due to these helecopters, Even London only has one, Surely the government should be backing such services with OUR money.

The last i heard was Doctors reckon he will be back to his “OLD” self in 6 months, Lets hope so the world needs the Hamster.
I am still puzzled by the so called do-gooders who want top gear banned, I figure these are the same people against airshows etc too, We can not let them win i am sure a majority of people do not want to live in a grey and faceless world,Life is about adventure and excitement.

I feel you do make a fair point Moggy, But i also feel not in a position to judge anybodys reaction times as much as i feel i can not judge whats caused a accident i did not see, And maybe in Hindsight he made a bad choice in Driving the Vampire Car having said that i doubt many of us would turn down the chance to have a go. As they say hindsight is a wonderful thing but its a pity it comes after the event.
The most inportant thing is to hope and pray Richard pulls through this, Which is something we all echo here, He is a great presenter and someone you feel is a top bloke,Top Gear is one of the most watchable programmes on TV because of of the chemistry between the presenters.

There are a few too many remakes lately seems the Studio’s are scared to take a chance with a new idea, Its cheaper and easier just to remake something, Its a shame.

Very Very sad – an ABSOLUTE hero of mine and he just about did everything, Spit Pilot, racing driver, commentator….legend.

I commend his autobiography to everyone, it is superb – especially the brilliantly recounted conversation between him, Ray Hanna and Alex Henshaw as to which was the best mark of Spit – in RBs opinion Hanna was the finest exponent of the Spitfire he ever saw. Sadly both are no longer with us.
