As it is impossible for your “peace keeping force” to be allowed to do anything without the permission and control of the state and federal, your ignorance of the U.S. is showing.
You really don’t recognise a tongue in cheek statement when it is staring you in the face, do you. But if you want to play my silly game…
I’d recommend invading either through California, across the Canadian border, or maybe through Bermuda, and wouldn’t need the permission of anyone in the US government (think about Iraq or Afghanistan, neither of which were asked for permission to invade). Maybe use North Korean or possibly Cuban blue hats, so that there is no charge of favoritism, and the national guard for local knowledge.
Yeah right, only in your mind.
But it seemed so real.
When did you work in the Chicago ghetto where the shootings are taking place and you are going to disarm?
Me disarm? No, that would be the job of the peace keepers; if they used the same system as that utilised by US guards on convoys in Iraq then anyone looking even remotely dodgy would be ‘persuaded’ to leave the area if they survived the ‘persuasion’.
Maybe they could just carpet bomb such areas…
Why?
Others stupidity is none of my concern and I would rather have them have the freedom to be stupid than corralled and controlled like cattle.
Quite the people person, aren’t you.[/pointed sarcasm]
A French actress, an old lady, an old cat, but not a panda, possibly.
Madeleine Lebeau, the French actress, who has died aged 92, was the last surviving cast member of Casablanca (1942); she is best known for her tearful but defiant singing of La Marseillaise and cry of “Vive La France!” in one of the film’s most memorable and moving scenes.
The world’s oldest living person, 116-year-old Susannah Mushatt Jones, died on Thursday in New York City, a research group said.
Jones’ death makes Emma Morano-Martinuzzi, a 116-year-old woman in Italy, the oldest living person, according to the Gerontology Research Group.

TAIPEI (AFP) – Taipei Zoo was forced to deny reports that a giant panda gifted by China as a symbol of unity had died on Monday (May 16), in what initially appeared to be a frightening portent for cross-strait ties.
Tuan Tuan was one of two pandas given to the island in 2008 in a move seen to endorse the presidency of Beijing-friendly President Ma Ying-jeou. The animal’s name means “reunion” and was interpreted as a reflection of China’s ambition to reunite self-ruling Taiwan with the mainland.
But as Mr Ma prepares to step down and Taiwan ushers in new China-sceptic leader Tsai Ing-wen – intensely disliked by Beijing – reports circulated online that Tuan Tuan had died of distemper.
News of the death in Chinese media, including huanqiu.com and People’s Daily, triggered laments on the mainland that Beijing’s propaganda machine had failed.
“Tuan Tuan is dead. Propaganda is hopeless,” said one post on People’s Daily Twitter feed.
Others welcomed the news, with one post on Taiwan’s Liberty Times website saying: “It’s good… we don’t have to spend so much money raising a Chinese panda.”
As the story spread, Taipei Zoo insisted Tuan Tuan and his fellow pandas were very much alive.
“All three pandas are in good health,” said zoo spokesman Eric Tsao.
Huanqiu.com later issued a correction and apology to the zoo and Internet users.
People’s Daily also posted a correction via Twitter saying it had been “misinformed”.
Some in Taiwan slammed the false reports – others joked China would have gone to war with Taiwan if the panda had actually died.
At that age everyone is a potential bad guy: get them before they get you?
But if toddlers can get hold of dangerous weapons easily enough to carry out 20-odd shootings there must be something important missing in the brains of people who deny there is a problem; and in the lack of brains of the idiots who leave their guns where kids can get hold of them.
Seriously, just because one person acts responsibly with their phallic substitute does not mean that everyone can be trusted – a racing driver might well be able to handle a car a speed in excess of 150mph, but that does not mean that everyone should be allowed to keep their foot pressed to the floor.
Well, if the colours are the same as those used on the Alpha Jet and Magister then they will be:
Medium Green FS34102
Dark Green FS34064
Tan FS30219
Light Grey FS36622
orange Red FS12197
Kaliber?

LOL, when your state police got to Chicago they would be returning home in body bags, brilliant!
It is amazing your are paranoid and self-righteous about our affairs and you do not even live here.
??? What state police? I mentioned a UN peacekeeping force – is that what is confusing you?
Worked there. Hated the swaggering machismo displayed by most of the males, children through to the elderly, and the heavy religious focus prevalent is nearly everything despite the fact that (apparently) the majority admit to being atheists or at least wanting a little proof before committing themselves.
You may return to polishing your gun and retuning your news service everytime they mention someone being shot and killed by accident.
Maybe you should write to your senator and demand that something is done about all these accidental shootings since it is giving gun owners a bad name…
‘caliber of that person’ ?
No, John. Calibre. You will get Charlie accusing you of being American next…
Caliber is the preferred spelling in the U.S., and calibre is standard in all other main varieties of English.
A gun used to shoot dead unarmed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin is to be auctioned by the man who shot him, George Zimmerman…
…He said he was selling the gun partly to raise funds to fight “Hillary Clinton’s anti-firearm rhetoric”…
…The one-day online auction opens at 11:00 EDT (15:00 GMT) on Thursday. The opening bidding price for the 9mm pistol is set at $5,000 (£3,464).
On the auction site, Mr Zimmerman refers to the gun as an “American icon”, and says it was recently returned to him by the US Department of Justice….
I wonder what kind of person would bid for an infamous weapon such as this? Maybe you can come up with the calibre of that person…
Latest.
Two pieces of aircraft debris found on beaches in Mauritius and South Africa almost certainly came from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, say Malaysian and Australian officials.
It is the latest development in efforts to solve the mystery of the aircraft, which went missing in March 2014.
…From other crossdressers?
I’ll get my coat – a rather manly snorkel parka…
And the tragedy continues.
DETROIT (WWJ) — Detroit police are questioning a woman after her five-year old granddaughter apparently shot and killed herself with a gun. It happened overnight at a home on Oakfield, near Pembroke and the Southfield Freeway on the city’s west side.
The child, identified by relatives as Mariah Davis, apparently found the gun under her grandmother’s pillow.
Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody says in an email that police responded around midnight Tuesday to a home on the city’s northwest side and the girl was taken by medics to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the girl was 4 years old. Family members at the scene report the girl was 5 years old.
Family members told WWJ the child loved Disney movies.
“It was an awful tragedy that has all of us shook up and our heart broke,” her aunt Freda Davis told WWJ 950’s Mike Campbell. Davis added: “It seems like our souls was ripped out of us, she was a lovely little girl, all she loved to do was sing.”
According to the initial investigation, police say the girl found the gun in an upstairs bedroom and shot herself while the grandmother was downstairs. Police say two other young children, ages 1 and 3, also were upstairs at the time. They weren’t injured.
Please tell the world that this is how things are meant to be, gun advocates, because it just seems like sheer, crass, mind numbing, utter murder dressed up as stupidity practised on a nationwide scale against innocents.
Gun freak: “It is a shame the little girl died, but the grandmother obviously felt too scared to live there without her perfectly legal gun…“
THEN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE MENTAL STATE OF YOUR NATION WHICH ACCEPTS INNOCENT GUN DEATHS AS INEVITABLE AND QUITE ACCEPTABLE, YOU STUPID MORONS.
You either carry on unsuccessfully packing heat or you break the mold and change the strategy – maybe a little radical but, truthfully, a land where gun nutters believe they are still living the wild west lifestyle via Hollywood must surely have lost the plot big time. Accepting that innocent children are going to die but at least you get to keep your gun as good as makes you accessory to murder, doesn’t it? Hell, sometimes I feel the only way to really protect Americans would be to send in an armed(!) UN peacekeeping force with the simple task to prise those weapons out of your cold, dead fingers. Would flush this macho posturing ‘got muh gun‘ idiocy out of the gene pool too…
You give idiots a gun and they decide to become judge, jury and, potentially, executioner.
CHANDLER, AZ – A man who witnessed a robbery and tried to “be a hero” was arrested by police after pointing and firing a firearm at the suspects.
According to court paperwork, back in March 25-year-old John Haag was at a Walgreens near Dobson and Warner roads in Chandler when he witnessed someone run from the store. Haag asked the employees if they had just been robbed and they said they had been.
That’s when Haag ran from the store, got in a vehicle and located the suspects inside a U-Haul cargo van. In video that was shared with ABC15, a man pulled up to the U-Haul and fired a gun once . Paperwork said that Haag went up to the passenger side of the U-Haul, pointed his firearm and discharged it. The U-Haul was not struck. Haag then drove away.
Officials said a misdemeanor shoplifting had occurred at the Walgreens, and “this crime would not justify the level of forced” used by Haag, according to paperwork.
Haag later on that day posted on his Facebook page that he had “just witnessed a robbery at Walgreens again, this time, I had my gun…true story.”
Haag was taken into custody by police two months after the shooting. He told police he followed the U-Haul from the Walgreens store wanting to “be a hero.” He told police he fired one shot at the front tire of the U-Haul van, and called his own actions “stupid.”
“I feel I had good intentions. I meant the best. I meant to disable the vehicle,” said Haag.
And while he admits he might have taken it too far, he feels people don’t step up enough.
“Most people are scared. Tons of people nowadays are in fear of what will happen to them and that’s not cool. That’s why we have more crime,“ said Haag.
He was facing charges of aggravated assault, drive-by shooting and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
So he had his gun, pointed it at the truck (whilst driving – no crime charge there though) and fired it. He missed, the truck anyway but could have hit something or someone else – and then just left the scene. He was witnessed, on video, shooting his gun yet he didn’t follow the suspects to apprehend them elsewhere and he didn’t inform the police – but he did fill out his social media blog, so that’s alright then.
Apparently he has been detained, presumably whilst the police filled in the paperwork, but I am guessing he won’t he allowed to own another weapon again.
Luckily he won’t need a licence to wear his underwear over his jeans, although I am guessing that wearing a hero-mask might make it a little risky, what with pesky gun owners who want to be a hero and bag a mask-wearing bad guy…
Is it me or… Do you remember when UFOs used to abduct only weirdo’s from the backwoods who wore a grubby white wifebeater and a baseball cap yet still had difficulty appearing convincing? It appears these numpties have bought themselves guns and rock around America trying to sell the idea in the media that guns are safe in the hands of people like them…
Whatever.
Still no link to your original thing, though.
Not sure if this is the same poll; apparently had 35,000 sign it.
Campaign group 38 degrees has taken down a petition calling for BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg to be sacked, saying it had become a focal point for misogynist abuse.
The majority of those signing and supporting the petition expressed concerns about what they saw as biased reporting of the Labour party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn by Kuenssberg. However, some supporters on social media used abusive and sexist language in calling for the BBC’s first female political editor to go…
