But others who look at the thread might be interested in an answer…
I believe all the Japanese got was wreckage.
We Don’t?
Dammit I was planning on visiting the butts this Sunday.
You’ll have a problem – most have been closed for Health and Safety concerns…
(Some of our friends across the pond might well snigger at your journey tomorrow!)

No, he was quoting the American constitution as regards the owning of firearms; obviously if they were writing it today gun enthusiasts would have to come up with a different reason for why they need to maintain a more or less free for all. It would be a bit like us insisting that because of the 1363 Archery Law we have some sort of right to bows and arrows.

You boys still going on about this?
Well, ‘you’ boys are still sitting on your hands doing diddly squat about preventing the weirdo from getting hold of a gun and playing hide the bullet in other people’s bodies.
Obviously this is not meant to be taken personally by anybody, not unless you count yourselves as being someone actively engaged in doing nothing from a position of authority.

I live in the real world where people die from violent crime.
A person in my home town plead guilty to accidentally beating a man to death and burning the body, this week.
A few miles from where I am now another gent admitted shooting another man to death this week and a few months ago a man was convicted of deliberately drowning his eight year old son.
‘Accidentally’ beating a man to death???
So from that trio there is just one gun death; did those two know each other, by any chance?
What is the ratio of murders by legally to illegally held weapons?
Just a few incidents that do not happens in the fantasy land you people seem to live in.
Yes, you wouldn’t like it here – you wouldn’t feel safe without your security blanket.
If you live in such an idyllic world for heavens sake stay there, the real world I live in will devour your for breakfast and **** you out by lunchtime.
You don’t live in the wilds of Columbia or Cambodia. Statistics apparently show that you are more likely to be murdered by someone you know rather than in a random killing – despite the many senseless gun massacres.
So what?
Children can and now have been suspended from public grade schools for pointing fingers like a gun, have a gun trinket on a trinket bracelet, cutting a pop tart into the shape of a pistol and pointing it at some one.
Also violent sports such as tag, kickball, dodge ball etc. have been banned from unsupervised play with acceptable sports, picked by the school board only allowed.
Guess that demonstrates that someone has decided to take a stand? If you cannot be trusted to play nicely then you will have to be treated like naughty children…
For you to think students carry a firearm to stay alive is in the same category as *****s, much less the ignorant twits doing the protest, hmm, are you related to people on the school boards that think tag is a violent sport but that arming teachers or guards to save children from murder is improper thought?
Not sure – don’t know what the censored word is…
If you are referring to the, um, sex toys then it is not for me to say it is in the same category but…one kills people and the other doesn’t, so guess which one will get you into trouble with the authority. And I don’t believe I am related to any school board members, but then would you think it right for me to ask if you were related to any mass murderers?
As I said you and some others posting here know absolutely nothing about life in any part of the U.S. of A. and magnify that point with your rhetoric.
So what is it like – Reservoir Dogs or the Muppet Movie?
The only thing more stupid than that ***** rule is the asinine comparison of the protest
Some might say that a gun is one mans way of making up for his failings in another area, and maybe those women and their sex toys are doing exactly the same thing?
Wondered no, realized why, probably.
So tell us what it is they are hiding.
I put two sites that expose the left wing bias of major news networks.
If you do not accept it, so be it.
First one was a right wing news reader wanting to be an investigative reporter whose employer was not interested in investigative reporting. Most media is happy for freelancers to do the leg work and ride on the back of their stories – it is the same the world over. Just because some of her investigations were about Obama – as well as republican stories – means very little in the big scheme of things.
Second link wouldn’t open, but appeared to be about right wingers claiming there was a liberal media bias; where is the story? Over here all sides make claims that the BBC is against them, which means it is doing its job by kicking all the hornets nests, whilst most of the national newsprint is blatantly right wing without apology.
Neither as I do not fake sympathy for person I do not know even though I would prefer it did not happen.
But the school board people can only feel personal guilt, is that it?
This is a commentary from liberal journalist where even he sees the absurdity of anti-firearms liberals.
http://www.startribune.com/thought-e…ork/331835721/
Here is how he ends his article:
Now, for the moment, let’s set aside the political (and legal) obstacles such a project might face…blah blah blah.
Nobody said it would be easy, but the alternative is that you do nothing but go on letting these low lifes go ahead with their usual relieving of tension by slaughtering a few school kids before dying themselves.
Only you are locked onto the already dead children whereas all my statements concerned that which could/should have been done when they were still alive.
YOU are trying to twist it into a post-mortem only factor.
Not quite. You look back and see that I’m right, please.
Right to bear arms so there can be a safe education.
Anything but giving up your gun, eh?
If the only way to be safe from a gun is to hide behind a gun then education isn’t working and society has failed. What is it that makes your fellow citizens decide that the only answer they have to any problem is to go out and kill (usually) innocents? Educate them to vent their anger in a far less viciously violent manner.
I know dozens of people who have multiple firearms, some who carry loaded firearms, as civilians, and none of them has ever used a firearm illegally even though some of you seem to think that possessing a firearm automatically means one will kill anyone but the criminal.
I would have defended living children, you are the one only speaking about them after they were murdered even though the school boards action before the shooting is one reason they are dead.
And another reason they are dead is that someone had a gun and went off on a rampage.
No, not automatically; the people you know legally have guns, and so did these morons who went on to slaughter. Oh, you say, my friends wouldn’t do that…which I’m sure is what the murderers friends would have said about him before he went out and…
(ONLY YOU are trying to box this into a either or matter when in a country of 300 plus million that is a silly notion BUT you and too many liberal school boards seem to think that armed guards and teachers is equally bad to dead students, bizarre)
No, you really don’t get it.
Only in your mind.
Your plan lets students die. The bad guys gets into the school and starts killing before your armed guard can do anything.
Find the reason why the bad guy feels the need to go on the rampage, take away his feeling that his only recourse is to go out and kill, turn him away from his feeling that only with his gun is he important. It must be a national mindset since nowhere else does this happen.
You can’t answer, can you. I’ll ask again: tell us where else there is even a remotely similar number of massacres in a country regarded as civilised.
As a massacre is the indiscriminate slaughter of people, any country south of us but then those countries have some of the toughest gun laws in the world.
Go figure.
Or do you have some elitist definition of civilized.
We are a free country and with that comes a price which does not bother me.
Ah, so when the price of gun control is the potential for ‘indiscriminate slaughter’ it doesn’t bother you? Thank goodness that is not my definition of civilised; for ‘free country’ add ‘free range’ and let loose with a few rounds at whoever has upset you, eh?
Simple questions are simple, biased questions are a biased farce based on a preconceived base.
If you from either ignorance or arrogance cannot figure out why the names of murderers, who stated in left behind writing, they wanted to go out in a blaze of glory are no longer repeated till one wants to puke, especially the families of the victims, then you are a hopeless moron.
Only too happy to keep you company…
Can’t say I remember reading about them wanting to go out in a blaze of glory, much easier to show them as they were – inevitably sad, lonely individuals living at home with their parents, unable to interact with the opposite sex whose only way of getting attention is to pull out a legally owned gun and kill someone.
According to you everywhere in America is dangerous —
(show me where I said that. every where is equally dangerous and that means illegal weapons can be attained equally everywhere? If you cannot then that is only the result of your ignorant bias that tries to twist the realities of this country into some simplistic liberal cartoon..)
Where to start! Any of your posts in this thread, maybe?
My ‘ignorant’ bias is that of someone who lives somewhere that doesn’t have dozens of multiple shootings a month, looking in at somewhere that does and saying things that are difficult for you to entertain. The fire service might fight fire with fire, but generally they use water; you want to fight guns with guns but that won’t solve the problem (maybe you really don’t want the problem to go away?) since just about every multiple killer ever has either ended up dead or caught, so it isn’t much of a career option. This means that you either have to take away their toy of choice or find another way to prevent these attacks from occurring – which action would you favour?
How they became illegal I really could not care less, nor could I know.
Just as long as you aren’t being told that the best course of action goes against your right to bear arms…
Your imaginations is only exceeded by your simplistic arrogance but even though you are ignorant your rhetoric speaks as if you know more about living in the U.S. than one who has spent ones entire life here.
Hang on, you saying all those CSI progs aren’t real?
Such imaginations are ignorant babble based on ignorance fed by arrogance which is why this discussion is over.
So, you’re admitting you’ve lost the argument then?
You know nothing of living here, whether in the country where your nearest neighbor is over ten miles away or in a big city where ten illegal immigrants live a two-person run down apartement.
Erm, what has that to do with anything, exactly? (Apartment.)
You can make your silly statements based on either a preconceived a lack of knowledge, or silly news headlines and if it makes you feel better, make them as outrageous as you wish.
Making statements like this doesn’t help you (not that you want help, of course) although they do make you appear to be on the verge of going off on one yourself.
You want to join my next slaughter sweepstake? Quick, before it happens…

If you knew anything about liberal press in the U.S. they did have a lot to do with how stories are reported.
So they resorted to denigrating his sexuality, political view and voting habits without mentioning his colour – all things that have nothing to do with the actual story since he was feeling picked on by his former employer and ex-colleagues. Have you ever wondered why they try to pull this sort of distraction out and what they don’t want you to see instead?
Major neworks new is supposed to be free of bias, or at least try to be.
Here it is a major factor in politics.
How, exactly? The right slag off anyone who isn’t Fox News, and Fox News run down anyone slightly to the left of their political median. There isn’t much of a political left wing in America, which is reflected by the political views of the news media there. All in all hardly free of bias.
That statement is simply stupid.
They are responsible for student safety and failed to provide a system that would probably reduced death toll greatly.
Banning guns would definitely have reduced the overall death toll, but that is not something that will be seriously entertained until somebody makes a stand. Or are the national/local authorities not responsible for maintaining a safe and secure society for all?
Who got your sympathy – the shooter or the grieving relatives who want guns banned?
That statement goes beyond stupid to moronic.
The children could have had an active defense that would have left them alive.
You seem to prefer dead victims to living souls protected by a firearm.
Moronic because you don’t agree with it, see any sense in it, or need it explained to you because the big words are a little diff-i-cult to un-der-stand?
Hey, you were the one who wanted to defend dead children. Live children do need defending, but you will not solve the problem by agreeing with the nutters who want to shoot and kill people; deal with the problem before it gets to the stage where the nutter is thinking of walking into the school with his guns on show. Giving that sort of moron a gun just encourages him to make a statement in blood.
Hmm, the right to bear arms or the right to a safe education?
If it gets to the point that you have nothing left but guards with guns fighting nutters with guns in a school then there is something really wrong with that society and you are just letting them win, whether they live or die. But if it gets to that point then there will already be dead students on the ground anyway – your guards can’t be everywhere all the time.
That statement reflects ignorant babble.
You can’t answer, can you. I’ll ask again: tell us where else there is even a remotely similar number of massacres in a country regarded as civilised.
I repeat: That you even said that is amazing and bizarre.
Another question you can dodge? Not helping your case is it, not answering simple questions…
So why keep the shooters name secret?
I have been in areas where illegal guns can be obtained.
If one is of at least average intelligence, and wariness it is not that hard, so leaving honest people unarmed is asinine at best.
Ah, I see ignorant babble.
According to you everywhere in America is dangerous so I’d imagine we all assumed that illegal weapons can be obtained everywhere.
But are they illegal because they are unregistered or smuggled in, or have they been stolen and been sold on?
If you knew anything about liberal press in the U.S. they did have a lot to do with how stories are reported.

Just seen this:
Texas students are planning to hang sex toys from their bags in protest at a law allowing people to carry concealed weapons on university campuses…
Some students are angry that they can be reprimanded by their university for bringing sex toys on campus, but not for carrying concealed guns.
It has, of course, been ridiculed by gun campaigners – see the story.

Waaaaaaaay too many Bruce Willis films, methinks.
