I’ve a lovely 18 yrs single Malt whiskey to open, so I know I will be happy at……………..CHRISTMAS..:D

You leave those 18 year olds alone!

    WHISKY!

No ‘e’ in the real stuff

Maybe he is admitting to mixing his drink and drugs…;o)

Would love to see Ripping Yarns which I don’t think has ever been repeated.

Saw it not so long ago on one o’them satellite thingies.
Wasn’t Palin’s film The Missionary expanded on from an unused Ripping Yarns plot?

Agreed BUT only if it reaches the same high standards as the first series.

Fawlty Towers will never be expanded upon. It was apparently made using the laws of comedy thought up by some old French comedian, the essential premise being that there are only so many basic plots available before you start reusing them – something that the soaps knew of and adapted many, many years ago.

And Ronnie Corbett? A miserable little bleeder, according to a mate who tried to get his autograph a couple of years ago. Met him myself in the early 90’s and he was not a very pleasant fellow even then. Best to say that the genius of the Two Ronnies died a few years ago and the survivor has been trying to get back into the spotlight again with the odd dreadful radio comedy, a few ‘guest’ appearances, and a few adverts dwelling on his height.

    Sure,

General discussion is the place for everything non-aviation.

Please just don’t make them too large.

    Everything?
    Size isn’t everything…;o)

Saw the special, watched it with the kids. I was the only one to make it to the end though, it was much too confusing and made huge leaps of belief. Mind you, it can’t be any worse than that bunch they had after Tom Baker in the 1980s – is it any wonder that it was dropped?
And yes, where was Peter Cushing in the line up? A bit like leaving David Niven out of the James Bond list.

he could have been in the SAS were he not the possessor of “too high a profile face-wise”

Apparently he passed the entrance tests for the Territorial SAS but was rejected because of his fame.

Been busy trying to get the laptop sorted out…
Wife has a Mac but I will not touch it since it goes dead when I do…

Yes, I am making a list (and checking it twice) so if you have any more jot them down.
Linc, what was your Inkspots one? (Despite your Dick Emery impersonation!)
