I recon all the bleeding hearts of the Human rights brigade should be put in the same cell.
On what charge by law?
Due entirely to the pernicious doctrines of the liberal far left
Entirely? Methinks you doth complain too much… (Thanks to Shakespeare for literary guidance)
Firstly my comment was made a long time before the reports you refer to and secondly reports of Russian soldiers in isolated parts of pro- Russian Ukraine are hardly an invasion but are certainly evidence of Putin putting the frighteners on Ukraine.
Your post was a day before mine; you don’t think the Russians were in country then?
He probably has other internal affairs to sort out in the short term – if the referendum goes his way, of course.
Yes, ha ha.
The difference between the two is that the Monty Python video is, um, between two consenting adults whilst the other was an unconsented criminal assault.
Hmm, must be why I chose it…
But would it be an internal affair we would be sorting out by that point?
Oddly this measure was supported by one of the Philippines largest makers of firearms, Armscor which started as a backyard garage operation.
Wouldn’t that just be Armscor protecting their own business from the more amateur rivals who might be driven out by the requirement to obtain a licence?
Can someone explain why we care so much about the Ukraine (Wasn’t there a treaty, and then of course oil) ?
Isn’t this just Russia sorting out it’s own internal affairs?
I’d have liked to have said because we have a care about the wellbeing of our fellow downtrodden man, under threat from one of those big bully nations who just can’t stand the thought that things carry on in nation states without consultation with their neighbours, but on here that’s not very popular (meh) so lets just mumble something about caring because it pi-cheeses Putin off, it will increase the immigration from that area to Britain, and it allows us to flex our muscles and show off our toys (not that they haven’t had a lot of showing off in Afghanistan and Iraq in the last 10 years or more).
And how about comparing the Ukraine problem with Scotland in a few years time, if an independent Scotland took it upon itself to make noises about not doing business with the rest of Britain but jump into bed with China, so we sent the tanks in and ignored the rest of the worlds opinion because it was just one of our internal affair problems that we were sorting out? Or something.
As Trumper says – too dark. But if there is an additional auxiliary lens fitted as well then that could have fooled the idiot proof exposure computer into making the image darker.
Use your image manipulator (Photoshop or similar) to lighten the image, although this will have a knock on effect in the shadows. There is no ‘good’ high light visible in any of the displayed images, so I suspect that you may have already darkened them (unless the auxiliary lens was not compensated for when the picture was taken) for effect.
Did you use flash? If you have no choice you could get a bit of A4 white card (or stiffened paper) and bounce light in to display the water droplets in a better light. Silver foil can also be used, but is a lot shinier and the effect might be spoiled by the harder reflections and pinpoint high light created.
Alternatively move on to something else a bit more challenging- can I suggest whiskers on kittens…?;o)
(Bits added after auxiliary lens info provided by Linc-y…)
Hi All,
Hey, Batman Geoff,
Your comma key appears to only work once a post…;o)
It wasn’t just the soft right that he enticed. Others found him to be a man they could work with and he was happy to accommodate them by not bringing socialism into his politics.
Strange that the Tories jumped into bed with the Libs when, of the big three, they were the left wing of British main stream politics over the last decade and a half…
…a slightly different interpretation of ‘assault’…
An assault is an assault is an assault. You might not end up dead, or with broken bones or fewer teeth, but you have still been assaulted.
This morning I heard on the radio that traffic wardens in Southend have been issued with DNA collecting kits to help convict people who assault them by spitting at them. In the past attempts to bring such cases to court were dismissed due to lack of evidence and eyewitnesses making claims, for example, that her husband hadn’t spat at the warden (although in that case was actually caught on CCTV and he was convicted). Do you believe that spitting at somebody is as much an assault as stabbing or swearing at them?
Male rape (by women) used to be laughed out of court because the general opinion was that any man would be happy to enter a sexual union and surely wouldn’t turn down such an offer. And, of course, no man is going to admit in court that he was less of a man for letting a woman molest him unless there was something wrong with him… Even further back it was the same with men raping men – he must have wanted it, he could have just turned away or closed his legs so he must have been a willing participant…
Where – Sochi
Why – winter olympics
More why – the paraolympics
Additional whys – because it is taking place in part of Russia, just 200 miles from where troops have seized control of the Crimea. And it would be a blow against Putin and his strong arm bullying.
Oh. Just realised I hadn’t fully filled out the questions.
Sorry.
Sorted now.
Hi Snafu,
Yes having a few problems…
Congrats – you managed two that time. That is a 100% improvement so if you can keep it up you’ll soon be back in the land of those able to pause in their missives, rather than bleat the whole lot out without stopping.
Snafu,
I can’t believe that you’re hanging your Great Leader out to dry. There’s hope for you yet.
Sorry to disappoint you but, in the words of that still alive though obviously down on his luck butter salesman… I am an anarchist. ;o)
Never met a politician whose wonderful ideas couldn’t be improved on by standing him/her up against a wall with a row of armed troops lined up ready to fire their rifles. Perfect.
To me Blair was Bliar, whose word was not to be trusted, who if he proposed one thing then the chances were that it was better for everybody concerned to do the opposite, who needed to be arrested for war-crimes at the time and still does.
It’s been a long time since one leader took Britons into so many wars in such a short time – a lovely epitaph for his gravestone, I suppose, one record he must be proud of.
He brought competition and rivalry into the NHS where it has no business to be, and his new followers from the right were encouraged to set themselves up in opposition to state run monopolies and rake off millions when a simple management rotation might have sufficed. The socialist ideal of a redistribution of wealth did take place, but in reverse – not for those who needed it.
Anyone notice he waited until after the main winter Olympics?
Which gets me thinking…
