Won’t somebody think of the children…
Guys. Get a room.
’tis rhyming slang…
I am only too pleased to have made an old man happy. Without paying him is a bonus, of course.
Let us celebrate; have some undercooked chicken, John?
Oh, please do…:oD
No. Too many way too interested in getting their snouts in the trough for their own personal gain.
But it is a bit like insisting the world would be a better place if we were all Buddhists. It might be, it may not, but since there will always be mankind involved in the decision we shall never know.
…K-Y Jello…
Didn’t know you were a septic…
You’ve spent your entire ‘career fixing problems?’. You need more practice; take it from me, success has eluded you.
And John should know…;o)
You know Jonesy, you remind me of a fellow worker at a local firm that manufactured hand built 36″ stretched Mercedes C Class limo’s, who just like you was always blathering on just why this couldn’t be manufactured or this would never fit without major redesign work, all the time full on Mr Negativity…
Where as instead of continually moaning why things couldn’t be done, a couple of us would just get together, chuck some idea’s around and get the ruddy thing sorted!
A cut and shut merchant? Thought the insurers had shut you pirates down.
This is part of an aviation publisher forum: where would that business be if someone had, outlandish worst case scenario for an example but you get the idea, decided to attach the wings with gaffer tape to get around a problem, rather than decide that there was a problem that was a real problem and way above their paygrade?
Hopefully you have gone back to playing with your crayons, drawing moustaches and breasts on pictures in your friends newspapers…?
Good grief, there’s more.
Now now Steve, that’s not nice is it, seeing as the company director’s and the designer also okayed our production alterations to said vehicle.
The company were also producing armour cars, for the Sultan of Brunei, based on Range Rover’s, Audi A8’s and Audi A4 Avant’s.
The production staff were all highly skilled professional tradesmen.
There is a difference between trying to make something work and trying to cut a corner; trying to cut corners meant that there have been several new body shells on old (in some cases very old) car chassis designs, which caused problems later.
I know I write crudely, but your reply tells me you jump to suppositions to easily, that bare nothing to the reality, it’s worrying that a man in your position makes such hasty decisions based on little or no proof, do you think its safe for you to be driving?
Driving?
You say he has no proof then sink your entire argument by making the punchline driving!
I hope you get better soon, perhaps it might be worth you taking a Sabbatical?
If you are paying for it can I have one too?
But meanwhile please, for the sake of the rest of us, please take the right number of pills at the times specified by your doctor but never with alcohol.
Socialism is a farce that will never ever work…. fine in principal, but while the Soviet population lived in squalor and with shortages of everything, the party elite lived a grandiose life style of Dachas, Private holiday villas and plenty of everything the decadent west produced. For every ideal there are those that will rise to the top and take advantage of that position to better their cause..
Which only goes to prove that theory about excrement floating.
The essence of socialism has never been practised when governing a nation. Soviet Russia was communist Russia, despite calling itself socialist Russia – which any student of politics will tell you it was not.
The excesses of the communist regime more or less match those of a fascist regime – both are essentially dictatorships where any attempt at voting is skewed and the opposition (if they are permitted) are scapegoats for whatever the ruler/s care to blame them for, the common downtrodden people live in fear of changes in direction and political mood swings, the accepted class system still has a ladder with the lowest rung being those in a position of disenfranchised worker and the highest an elite whose position has been given as a reward or due to their usefulness to the regime, where if they upset those in authority then they can become an ‘unperson’ and disappear into the legion of missing or be subjected to a show trial where their crimes – real or not – will be revealed to the world. Witness the treatment of East Europeans or South Americans in the latter half of the last century, or the happy state that is North Korea at the moment.
But you all know this.
A socialist utopia has yet to happen, anywhere. You would do better to pass judgement on one when it happens.
Although his looking out for political corruption usually involves trying to avoid drawing attention to it…
It isn’t expecting too much to expect that MP’s should like Caesar’s wife; ‘be above suspicion’. That is very much not the case with this particular example of political lowlife.
One wonders if this would have made John froth at the mouth so much had this not been involved the political left…
Does he remember Edwina Currie and her affair with the grey man? How about Jerry Hayes and his extramarital affair with an 18 year old man (at a time when the homosexual age of consent was 21) despite the fact he was married? During the Back to Basics campaign Tim Yeo had a ‘love child’, after telling the country that more needed to be done to reduce the number of single parent families. Then there is Lord Caithness, Malcolm Sinclair, whose wife killed herself when it came to light that he had been having an affair. Or David Mellor, his football shirt and extramarital affair, plus his connections to the PLO? Do I really need to mention the ‘delightful’ Jeffrey Archer? Or Cecil Parkinson? What about Lord Lambton, whose associations with prostitutes also caught out Earl George Jellicoe and his ‘few casual affairs’ with call girls?
The above are just the recent sex scandals from the Conservatives – if we were to examine business and financial irregularities then we would need more space and repeated doses of caffeine to suspend boredom, but the question still remains: shouldn’t all of these politicians also have been considered above suspicion in their roles as representatives of the people, not to mention ministers of government?
The founder of Latinos For Trump has been widely mocked for warning of a future with “taco trucks on every corner” in the US if Hillary Clinton wins the presidential election.
Marco Gutierrez was explaining why he supports Donald Trump, a day after the presidential candidate’s visit to Mexico.
“My culture is a very dominant culture and it’s imposing and it’s causing problems,” he told MSNBC.
“If you don’t do something about it, you’re going to have taco trucks on every corner.”
His warning led to ridicule on social media as people suggested the prediction sounded like a utopian vision of the US.
On Twitter, #TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner became the top trend worldwide with almost 60,000 tweets using the hashtag since Gutierrez made his prediction.
“Hey, what’s wrong with #TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner?!”, tweeted Mexican-American actress Eva Longoria while Democrat politician Eric Swalwell posted a map by depicting tacos all over the area he represents.
Hmm, let me guess that under Trump they would prefer a lynchin’ just like the good ole boys used to do on a saturday night, back in the day. With 11 million immigrants to choose from they would be occupied for several weeks – by which time they will have been starved insensible, with any luck.
The dictator of a former Soviet state…
The Uzbek government has confirmed the death of President Islam Karimov, six days after he was taken to hospital with a suspected brain haemorrhage.
One of Asia’s most authoritarian leaders, Mr Karimov, 78, died after 27 years in power.
Mr Karimov has no clear successor. There is no legal political opposition and the media are tightly controlled.
He will be buried on Saturday in his home city of Samarkand, Uzbek state TV announced.
A UN report has described the use of torture under Mr Karimov as “systematic”.
The Chinese are still friendly with them, I can’t imagine you’d get away with that without upsetting them. And they are closer to the fallout zone too…
