I’m not having much luck trying to get the covering film to stick to the fuselage 🙁 🙁 🙁 Mark 🙁

I think I’m going to get a high wing trainer and fly that for 6 months before even thinking of flying the spitfire as I have not flown 4 channel models since I was 7 years old 😮 😮 😮

Anybody got any advice for covering the aircraft as every time I iron the edges on it comes off as soon as I stick the heat gun over it 😡 😡 😡

I have nothing against Iran developing nuclear power but the thought of nuclear weapons being so close to many terrorist organsiations is slightly concerning me. Even if the Iranian government didn’t willingly hand them nuclear weapons then it could be easy enough to capture them by force and turn them on us.

    One servo.

The leading and trailing edges are balsa covered with the middle sections being covered at the ribs only. I’m having one hell of a lot of fun trying to get some wire that will fit but will also not bend under the pressure 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀 Not having much success

I’ve got the Fokke DR1 as well (although nowhere near as complete as that one). My spitfire is missing an aileron control rod so I haven’t even started to cover the wings in balsa sheet yet 🙁 🙁 🙁

I’ve got my engine (and 3 bladed prop and spinner that they included for free with it) 😀 😀 😀

    Missing the last 2 issues as well 🙁 🙁 🙁 Mark 🙁

You wouldn’t find that particular airframe these days – it’s based on the Kyosho Spitfire (which is a beauty to fly). Having said that, I’ve seen quite a few of these floating around on evilBay from time to time, complete kits.

Yes, methinks the mag would probably have stated that “additional items must be purchased”, but I guess not…

I think it was rather rude of them not to but still……….I’ll have to take a look at some point, if not, just buy a new spitfire in a model shop 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀 It’ll take me years to build this one at this rate…………..the amount of sanding that has to be done…………..it makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

If these poor misunderstood little darlings are so enamoured by the idea of shooting at people, put them in uniform and pack them off to Iraq or Afghanistan or to some other place where people will be in a position to shoot back at them.

    Too right!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀

Great idea! And if it turns out that we’ve hanged an innocent man we can dig him up, apologise, and send him on his way with hearty handshakes all round and no harm done.

    Can’t we?

Isn’t that why they got rid of hanging in the first place GA? 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀 It’s a fair point though

Bloke on one of the bike boards I frequent is into r/c submarines… He lost one in a lake a few weeks back when it “disappeared” into the depths. So he finds a local Army scuba club to go look for it.
He gets a shout from one of the divers saying “We found it!”
& another promptly surfaces along with a 13ft Russian Akula class sub…

er, nope, wrong r/c sub.. LOL!!

I’ve got a R/C Yacht but won’t take it out further than 50 metres because otherwise I’ll never be able to get it out 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀
