This entire thread began as a result of an unsubstantiated and non attributed RUMOUR !.

Comment was posted on Facebook by someone who had visited the museum and who added a photo of the dismantled airframe, and the remark regarding the F-4 being scrapped was quoted as being from a member of staff there!

Think I recall seeing some original post crash parts of Black 6 in the Shoreham B of B museum in Kent.

For the Wyvern I’m particularly looking for a Type 2 Mk.1 retractable GGS mounting – ref 8B/2860, or as an alternative a Hawker SeaHawk type GGS mounting would be welcome. Also all Wyvern parts always welcome.

Also trying to track down an instrument panel for the Short Sturgeon, as there has been at least one that surfaced several years ago.

Duxfords search for a genuine JU-52 could be over then 😎

A nice variety of aircraft at OW, and I have to say that black Puss Moth is an absolute beauty !

Nice to see it well cared for, and all things considered still in remarkable condition. I hadn’t realised before though that it was once an actual Earls Colne based Marauder!?

Just as DCW, Duxman and Penpusher are quite rightly thanked for their input with the Duxford thread, I’d like to say thank you YakRider for the excellent coverage and updates of the comings and goings at Weald – an airfield I don’t get to visit as often as I’d like.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks Robert. Thought I had seen one or something like it on the Scimitar !

Excellent thank you. It looks like they upped the quality and look of the earlier numbered issues even though they were released later in 1974 – 75.

Have you heard of one being released on the Supermarine Scimitar by chance?

For anyone on Facebook and like me interested in the restoration of the Swift, JetArt have said they’ll be adding a gallery of photos to their FB account in the next few weeks to show the progress so far!

Thank you DCW. It seems the TSR.2 issue is now considered rare to find, but I cant say I’ve ever seen the Beverley or Meteor ones either.
Can anyone supply a pic of the covers as I’m curious!? 🙂

These were No’s 1 and 2 and it would now appear that No 4 was for the TSR.2. Any ideas about No 3?

The direction of the thread is a little unfair, there is an awful lot of original and genuine typhoon parts in Rogers project. I have nothing but admiration for the time and effort Roger has put in to raise the profile of the typhoon and it’s crew

Agreed. As someone who has also devoted a big part of his life to collecting parts, photos and information for a particular aircraft type (though admittedly not as successfully as Roger) I too have nothing but admiration and praise for this impressive Typhoon project.
And as someone has already said, find another!

Apologies for the thread creep but are there any recent pics of the ex Malta Sea Fury rear fuselage?
