    IIRC it was Lincolnshire farmer Lindsay Walton, who then subsequently purchased the F4U-7 Corsair.

    Sorry to see that Matt B is selling on his pride and joy, considering the amount of time and hard graft that he has put into this now superb cockpit. Here’s hoping she goes to an equally appreciative and caring home.

    Can’t help with info regarding the inside of this particular Shack, but I think a word of gratitude is owed to the Gatwick Aviation Museum, as without their foresight both MR.3’s would I’m sure of been scrapped many years ago!

    At a guess, although I’m not privvy to any actual information, but John Romain would be an obvious choice – seeing as he has successfully flown the type previously and probably knows the Blenheim inside out!

    Two more mystery items, or pieces of anyway. The first appears to be made of some early form of black plastic. The second is I’m presuming to be part of the front turrets drive gear, seeing as most items found are originating from the front end!?

    That’s great news, and in my opinion the best place for it to go!

    As an aside I went onto the website yesterday to make a small donation, but there’s no PayPal link. I’m very dubious about making online donations with links I’ve never seen before, so I pulled out 🙁

    This looks to me to be B-24 Bomb Bay Door drive dog ‘tooth pins’ ie; The door opening/closing sprockets interlock with door mounted drive dog teeth to open and close the bomb bay doors. They may be the last drive dog teeth on the door that are the door closed locking teeth. see the two teeth interlocked with the sprocket in the closed position of the attached photo.
