    Nice link Baz.

Have to say after seeing those photos the damage thankfully ‘looks’ very minimal indeed, and certainly alot less than it could of been. Looks like Simon has pulled off a pretty impressive landing all things considered.!

Seriously impressed. What an achievement with the Viggen, and indeed the whole collection of classic flying SwAFHF aircraft.

    Thanks for posting.

This masterpiece is the port Centaurus on Ambassador G-ALZO:

    0265:G-ALZO

Which begs the question, are they really stupid enough to park this outside, even for a relatively short time, after many many years of hard work to get it to this standard of display? 😡

Thats sad news. Always thought of him as ‘Mr Wildcat’, on account that he always seemed to be associated with the type.

    Blue skies.

😮 yikes. That’ll take more than T-cut to buff out. Glad all are ok!

Glad it went well, and that some nice pieces turned up. Gutted that i couldn’t go in the end, but work demands just made it impractical to drive a 300 mile round trip for a half hour visit.!

It does seem that Flug Werke will need to be investigating having a further batch of wings built.

Indeed. Looks like the starboard landing gear has punched through the upper wing surface… resulting in a very non-original stance.

I was driving home in Duxford D.B, and it was the striking livery of your aircraft and manner of your circuits that made me take note of ‘another Chippie’. Its a very distinctive colour scheme, and i like it.!

Going to only be a flying visit of an hour or so because of work demands, but worth a look. Thanks again.

Not quite Dave :D, but it does make it very satisfying when something you want eventually turns up!

Yes Martin, about two weeks after deciding to collect Wyvernalia :D, i spotted it advertised in Flypast magazine. I thought “blimey this is going to be easy”, but how wrong i was.
Its one of only two survivors that i know of. And it was not until some twenty years later that i eventually found a matching windscreen section!
